Acer India Royal Challengers Bangalore BrandAid Events Ritz Carlton

With the IPL fever in the air, what better way for ACER to host their channel partners than with a closed-door session with 4 of RCB’s players! Acer tasked BrandAid Events with conceptualising and executing the entire event which took place on May 9 at the Ritz Carlton, Bangalore.

In keeping with BrandAid’s philosophy of ‘creating unforgettable experiences for their clients’, the agency decided to create a stadium-like experience for all the delegates. Starting with a pitch of close to 16 feet, complete with turf, wickets, pavilion seating for 60, and the customary LED wall, the stage was set for a truly captivating experience.

To add to the experience of the IPL season, each delegate was given an X amount of ‘Acer Currency’ based on the time of arrival at the venue. The clock started ticking the moment the registration counter opened. Those who arrived on time received 1 million in Acer Currency. The amount dropped as the time ticked on. The delegates were then divided into 4 teams. Little did they know that the ‘Acer Currency’ they had received would be used to bid for one of the 4 RCB players.

With a resounding crescendo of the renowned IPL track, accompanied with much applause, the 4 IPL players, Travis Head, Tymal Mills, Kdehar Jadhav and Shane Watson were welcomed into the mini stadium.

What followed was an enthusiastic bidding process as the teams vied for the player of their choice. Once the teams were ready, a most competitive set of single over cricket matches took place. This culminated with an elaborate photo session with the 4 RCB players, creating a truly memorable day for everyone involved.

Acer engaged around 60 channel partners with a series of one-over cricket matches with 4 of Royal Challengers Bangalore’s cricketers.
