Palazzo Versace Dubai has appointed Russell Loughland as Director of Sales and Marketing. Loughland officially joined Palazzo Versace Dubai on April 16, where he will be directly responsible for overseeing the implementation of the sales and marketing strategy in line with driving growth regionally and internationally.
With more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Loughland has held executive positions at a number of luxury brands including Shangri-La, Fairmont, Banyan Tree and Rosewood as well as leading independent properties including the Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi and the Regency Kuwait.
Commenting on the appointment, Sandra Tikal, General Manager of Palazzo Versace Dubai said: “We are pleased to welcome Russell to our team and are confident he will be a valuable asset to the hotel. A seasoned hotelier, he brings extensive knowledge of the hospitality industry to the role and I have no doubt that he will significantly contribute to our continued growth and development.”
Prior to his current role in Palazzo Versace Dubai, Russell Loughland held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing at Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Executive Assistant Manager at Crowne Plaza Kuwait Al Thuraya City where he was responsible for the pre-opening project management of the five-star property.
