India’s leading fashion brand, Max Fashion kick-started the sixth edition of Max Kids’ Fest across the country on April 23. Max has also associated with Disney to come out with specially designed ‘Cars’ merchandise during its summer collection. To make this even more exciting, it invited popular kid’s icon ‘ROB’ who conducted an exciting and fun filled DIY upcycling workshop for about 200 kids at the ‘Max Kids Festival’ in Bangalore.

Max Kids Festival is an annual activity conducted by India’s leading value fashion brand, Max Fashion, where their goal is to help children and parents spend quality time with each other. Max Kids festival is a 5-year-old property which has garnered popularity among kids and parents equally in the past.
Vasanth Kumar, Executive Director, Max Fashion remarked, “Max stands for fashion for the entire family, we believe in bringing them closer through our initiatives. The idea of kid’s fest is to make summer more fun for kids, ignite their young minds and teach them skills which they will use in future. We are happy to associate with Rob who with his enriching experience in DIY, will help spread the message of Upcycling in more fun and engaging manner for the kids. It’s rewarding to see how parents and kids enjoyed being part of the Max Kids Festival.”
Jiten Mahendra, VP – Marketing, Max Fashion added “At Max, we continuously strive to engage with our customers through innovative, fun and engaging initiatives. This summer we bring to you specially designed Disney Merchandise to coincide with release of the most awaited blockbuster ‘Cars 3’. Max Kids festival is in its 6th year and we saw more than 8000 kids participate actively last year. This year we are expecting more than 12000 kids across the country to participate in various activities.”

Rob of ‘Mad stuff with Rob’ fame conducted a 90 minutes workshop, teaching the kids to co-create various objects like POP Beatles, Foam Stamps and Shark Pop Up Card and waste bin made from used pet bottles. ROB, who has been working with children for over a decade said, “Today’s kids are intelligent and are tomorrow’s thought leaders. It’s important for us to teach them the concept of ‘Upcycling’. It’s about creating something new, useful and of higher value using discarded objects. I think this festival is one of a kind, because it’s not easy to find a platform where children get an opportunity to learn and have fun together. I really thank Max Fashion for being so encouraging and supportive to the kids around the country.”
This year, Max Fashion has exclusively tied up with Disney for Max kids festival and has also launched a complete new range of Disney merchandise featuring Cars and Mickey mouse and Minnie Mouse at their stores. Apart from DIY, customers can also expect entertaining activities at Max Stores every weekend which includes storytelling, track racing and craft workshop.
