Chemical Company BASF Launches Innovation Campus in Navi Mumbai

BASF, a German chemical company, selected A for Pineapple (AFP) as their preferred partner for the prestigious launch of their Innovation Campus at their Navi Mumbai site on March 3 and 4. The task was mammoth, the site monumental, and so the idea had to be magnanimous.
Based on the structural design of the building AFP proposed two main ideas for the launch — a gala opening at the lawns and an internal launch at the Atrium which was converted into an Amphitheatre.
Annu Anand, Director, AFP said, “It was one of the most challenging roles where we knew we had to battle change at every step, for a site that would be under-construction. But for every change we had planned alternatives. The biggest challenge of all came when at the last minute we were told to organise and install Video Conferencing facility as the chief guest Mr. Amitabh Kant, Chairman Niti Ayog couldn’t attend because of an urgent call from the Prime Minister’s office. Overnight VSAT link was installed to make the virtual launch happen.”
BASF board members and top management launched the innovation campus in the presence of industry leaders and partners. A huge gong was pressed that launched confetti blasts going up as high as 40-50 feet of the building and multiple 44-foot-drop-downs came down unveiling the building.
The building was decorated with exotic flowers. Hand impressions of board members and top management were taken as remembrance to be put on one of the walls of the building. A huge cutout of the innovation campus was installed for selfies. Also, a tour guide system was used for the tour inside the innovation campus. Absolutely no plastic was used, as it is a green building.
The atrium was converted into an Amphitheatre where important messages were shared by industry big wigs. To break the monotony of Audio Visuals at the launch event, a special Aerial act was choreographed where IGT winner Manik Paul performed on the visuals of the story that spoke about the essence of Innovation Campus. Top caterers Joss were engaged for a top-end event.

Managed by A for Pineapple, the launch events on March 3 and 4 included a gala opening at the lawns and an internal launch at the Atrium which was converted into an Amphitheatre.
