Marketing Solutions Manages Launch of Panasonic SKY Series Air Conditioners

In an event on February 22 at The Lalit, New Delhi Panasonic India Pvt. Ltd today unveiled India’s first of its kind Air-Conditioner with Radiant Cooling Technology. The Japanese brand introduced the SKY Series in the Inverter segment, providing the next generation of cooling experience. The new series was unveiled by popular actor and conservationist Dia Mirza; Manish Sharma, President & CEO, Panasonic India & South Asia and Executive Officer, Panasonic Corporation; Tadashi Chiba, Divisional Marketing Director – Consumer Marketing Division, Panasonic India; and Mohammed Hussain, Business Head – Air Conditioning Group, Panasonic India. With this launch, Panasonic is aiming at capturing over 10% market share and 30% growth in the air-conditioner segment in FY 2017-18.

The event was managed by Marketing Solutions.

At the launch Manish Sharma, President & CEO, Panasonic India & South Asia, and Executive Officer, Panasonic Corporation, said, “Last summer, we received a phenomenal response for our AC range and witnessed a growth of 20%. At Panasonic, we are constantly finding new ways to improve consumers’ life. The SKY series is a breakthrough innovation in the air conditioner market that will surely set a benchmark in the next generation of air conditioners. The latest series focuses on three areas, Comfort, Health and Beauty and have been launched with a view to tap the niche customer segment. While Panasonic is perceived as a mass brand, the new Elite Inverter Range reinforces our leadership in technology and design innovation.”

Mohammed Hussain, Business Head – Air Conditioning Group, Panasonic India added, “Today, we bring to the Indian AC Customer a quantum leap in technology. In a tropical country like ours, we need an effective cooling system to cool down our homes especially during the scorching summer heat. The new cooling system which we call the ‘Radiant Cooling’  in the SKY series reduces heat source that comes from the surroundings like Ceilings and walls, provide even cooling, as well as minimizes skin moisture loss through indirect airflow. With the new launch, we move a step towards providing Air conditioners enhancing the user experience”.

Sharing her excitement at the launch, Dia Mirza, Bollywood actor, activist and conservationist said, “With air-pollution rising at such a high rate in metros, it is imperative for us to take precautions for our health as well as the environment. The concentration of PM 2.5 rose in 2016 as compared to the previous year and I am glad to see Panasonic offering products and solutions which not only help in saving the environment but also improve its consumers’ health. It is important for brands to take definitive steps towards saving the environment by using eco-friendly gas in their new range.”

The product series was unveiled on February 22 at The Lalit, New Delhi by actor Dia Mirza.
