The F1 Circutainment was a mega show for over 1300 people that took place at the Buddh International Circuit, Noida on January 18. Managed by Moving Heads, the mind-blowing Gala evening was an apt culmination to 2 days of adrenaline, thrill and fun that was ICICI’s semi-annual R&R convention.

As the client’s contest was built around a Formula 1 theme, Moving Heads had to make sure every element was consistent with and added to the overall racing vibe. True to the event’s name of F1 Circuitainment, the mission was to take the F1-related entertainment experience to the next level.

The first highlight, which set expectations for the entire event, was the Black Circuit Party, inspired by real F1 Grand Prix legendary after-parties.

The guests were awestruck facing a DJ console made in the shape of a giant F1 car with LED mapping on it, along with an entourage of SFX at the disposal of performing DJs. DJ Akbar Sami was the star of evening, followed by DJ KAZ and DJ Julia.

They were accompanied by a bartenders show at the island bar by Guinness Book of Records record holders Pankaj & Sachin along with their team.

As the crowd was partying, a lights and laser show took the party to the next level. Guests could also step outside to admire multiple alcohol displays, live installations, click a photo inside a real sports car and have a look at the history of F1 panels spread around the vast pre-function area.

On the Gala evening on the last day, guests gathered at the Buddh International Circuit where a multitude of activities was awaiting.

The enormous space of India’s only F1 racing venue was transformed into a huge F1 Circuitainment fair with an adventure activities tower by Natura, go-karting tracks, RC cars field spread outside and track racing inside the circuit. All the Guests took a ride around the Circuit with a BIC driver while the most adrenaline-craving VIP Guests had a chance to drive a sports Polo car themselves. The BIC’s pit garages were transformed into fun zones with plenty of additional activities like air hockey, human foosball, snooker, a mini-spa and more.

At noon, everyone reconvened at the track for the official flag-off carnival parade with dancers, drummers, jugglers, and stilt walkers. All the teams (each zone of ICICI Bank participated as a racing team of F1) cheered while Senior Management addressed the joyful crowd.

Immediately, the attention of everyone was drawn by stunt cars and bikes swarming on the track, turning all heads with thrilling stunts involving breath-taking speed and precision.

After this, everyone enjoyed a vast spread of food available at multiple food trucks which the agency arranged for an F1 Food Truck Festival – Moving Head’s creative response to conventional lunch breaks.

The fun fair and thrills continued into the afternoon when the Senior Leadership participated in an exclusive session with Jonty Rhodes.

In the evening guests entered a huge seating area through a gate made of shipping containers, just to see more containers fencing off the area and to face a larger-than-life, breath-taking setup of a 5-storey high stack of shipping containers. All breaths bated once the opening act commenced – an acapella singer against a black background and no lighting.

This was followed by all lights suddenly sparkling as 50 dancers of V Company took over the stage followed by LED dancers placed on stage as well as at different levels of the container-construction, giving way to bikers on stage, a STIGMA fire show, electric violinists and aerial LED drummers flying in just in front of the unreal 3D mapping projected on the containers. All this was put together by Natya Nectar Cirque de India.

What an opening, what an ambience, what a set-up – this was an exclamation coming from all the Guests, perfectly expressed by Sophie Choudry who entered the stage in a sports car as the host of the ceremony.

The evening continued with multiple fireworks (as the stage was packed with fireworks, comets, pyros and more), a thrilling acrobatic performance with accompanying parkour dancers and the audience being completely hypnotised with the plethora of dream-like mapping content and special effects.

All this culminated in fireworks-entry of KK who performed the biggest hits straight from the Heart of Bollywood.

The evening created a history for the Moving Heads, with a 300+ event crew, more than 100 shipping containers used, multiple cranes working for 10 days of set-up and not to forget 6-degree temperatures.

For a corporate event, this F1-themed event for ICICI packed quite a punch with an F1-themed fair with adventure activities, a carnival parade, stunts and the ultimate gala evening.
