Godrej Associates with Gaia Foundation for Exclusive Movie Screening of 'Before the Flood'

An Exclusive screening of ‘Before the Flood’ took place on January 23 at Inox, Metro Cinemas, at Dhobitalao Junction, Mumbai. The event was exclusively managed and executed by GS Worldwide Entertainment. The screening was organised by Vikram Gupta who is an active socialist and heads Gaia Conservation Foundation, while also being a director of Metro Realty and Group. Sanctuary Nature Foundation, National Geographic and Godrej also associated with the event.

Three Screens of Metro Cinemas were blocked for the screening that saw Bollywood celebrities and Government officials present. Prior to the movie screening at 7pm, there was a short interactive where the key speakers - Swadheen S Kshatriya, Dia Mirza, Vijay Chrishna, Bittu Sahgal, and Vikram Gupta shared their views on the topic of climate change.

‘Before the Flood’ is a documentary on climate change produced in collaboration with Leonardo Di Caprio. The screening was a charity event with no commercials, one of the reasons why GS Worldwide Entertainment collaborated with Gaia Conservation Fund. As an agency, GS looks to manage charity events in line with its own vision for sustainability.

The event was attended by 700 people, which included celebrities like Tanisha Mukherjee, Jacky Bhagnani, Tara Sharma, and Smita Jaykar . Government officials like Praveen Pardeshi and Milind Mhaiskar were also present.

A red carpet was set up at the entrance which with branded collaterals and a registration desk.  Seating was pre-allocated to attendees as there were 3 screens blocked whose total capacity was 937. Four counters were set up to ensure everyone had their tickets and could be seated in around 15 mintues.
