Petrotech 2016 Vigyan Bhawan Narendra Modi Ice Events Taj Palace Hotel

ICE (Integrated Conference & Event Management) recently put together Asia’s biggest Petroleum and Natural Gas Conference Petrotech 2016. Held from December 5 to 7 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, the event was attended by approximately 7000 delegates from over 60 countries. Petrotech 2016 provided a platform for experts to exchange views and share knowledge, expertise and experiences on the theme “Hydrocarbons to Fuel the Future: Choices & Challenges”. ICE won the mandate to manage the conference post a multi-agency pitch.

Prior to the Conference, a curtain raiser on November 24, 2016 saw Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India address the media about the upcoming events planned for Petrotech 2016.

The conference itself began on December 5 with an Inaugural Address by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a Keynote Address by Dharmendra Pradhan. The event witnessed the presence of over 30 international Ministers and dignitaries from Chad, South Sudan, Uganda, Columbia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brazil, Mauritius, Nepal, Nigeria, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Cameroon, Cyprus and Uganda. Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road, Transport, Highways and Shipping, Govt. Of India; Suresh Prabhu, Railway Minister of India; Anil Madhav Dave, Minister of State,  independent charge of Environment, Forest and Climate; Piyush Goyal, MoS for Power and Coal were among many Indian Ministers present. Finally, Arun Jaitley, Finance Minister of India shared his insights during the valedictory, concluding a successful Petrotech 2016.

National and international experts in the oil & gas industry came from organisations like MIT Energy Initiative, USA; ExxonMobil Gas & Power Marketing Company, Texas; GM&T London; World LPG Association, France; RasGas, Qatar; Indian Oil; ONGC; TERI; GAIL; Petronet LNG; Niti Aayog; L&T; EIL; BCG; McKinsey and KPMG.

As the Professional Conference Organsier, ICE thrived on creativity at the main entrance, registration area, and in executing the stage setups at the event. An air-conditioned hangar ‘Urja Club’ was set up to arrange B2B meetings among CEOs, Presidents and Directors from National & International Oil, Power & Gas sectors and the Indian Bureaucracy.

Simultaneously, ICE handled two key events — CEO’s Forum at Hotel Taj Palace and Youth Forum at Pride Hotel, Aerocity.

To create an all-round digital and technology driven experience, the event was fashioned as a no paper conference. The details of the conference program and other parallel events were shared with delegates via a mobile application and digital monitors at the event site.
