Every year Ultratech Cement applauds the contribution of their stockists through a reward and recognition programme held at an offsite destination packaged with sightseeing and shopping .The destination for the stockists of East B this year was planned in Agra across 6 nights for teams from Odisha and Chhattisgarh. The Ultratech East B ADC 2016, Spundan took place from November 2 to 6 at the Jaypee Palace Hotel, Agra. The event saw dealers from Odisha and Chattisgarh, making it a total count of approximately 1100 people in 2 groups.

The objectives of the event were to create memorable experiences for stockists and their families;to build a conscious thematic approach to the event to become the status quo moving forward;to creatively design all collaterals and event peripherals; and to plan the entire awards presentation and enriching entertainment as per the target audiences

The theme was inspired by the concept of a pulse beat translated as ‘Spundan’. The idea was that this heartbeat of all entities (dealers , retailers and employees) come together to create the extraordinary. Spundan was created to convey the same across to the stakeholders thereby ensuring that Together Everyone Achieves More. This will now be a year on year Event name  And this is what Geometry Global Encompass Network wanted to execute and celebrate.

Royston Fernandes – Head Events, Activations and Exhibitions – UltraTech Cement commented, “Encompass bagged the awards function for East B purely on their rendition of the Spundan logo which creatively sketched the look and feel for the event. Their instant understanding and translation of the objectives created greater aspiration, interest and inclusion amongst our partners. They were largely involved in designing the splendid and impressive SPUNDAN trophy, the catchy and electronic Spundan dhun and finally an inspiring Set Design with an overarching pneumonic – a treat for all eyes.“

Geometry Global Encompass was involved in everything from the planning stage to the execution stage and post event communication plan. Every touch point was thought of carefully and every detail was connected back to the theme for a seamless experience. Every engagement was not only connected to the theme, but also connected to Agra, in order to give guests a one-of-a-kind experience like never before.

Bus activities helped keep the guests involved and engaged throughout the entire 4 hour journey from Delhi to Agra. To thread the connect between Agra and Spundan, the entire Mughal Empire was chosen from among all the dealers, and the lucky ones were given a royal trip to the hotel. The idea was to make every engagement a pleasant surprise – in order to break the monotony of the event. The guests were greeted with customized chocolates, fortune cookies and personalized good night messages to further add to the experience.

Spundan as a logo or a theme was not revealed to the guests until the Gala Night. In order to keep this surprise a secret, a mnemonic of the logo was circulated across all communication elements prior to the event.

The Gala was a grand affair for both groups, hosted by Devika Singh and UltraTech’s very own Janardhan Sharma and opened by the dealers disguised as 4 kings men. Guests who were chosen to be Mughal emperors in the busses had the privilege of opening the show. Rakesh Balya – Zonal Head Maketing, unveiled Spundan through the unique talent of Sand Art followed by legendary acts performed by 2005 Sa Re Ga Ma Pa contestant Akilesh and the Rhythm dance troupe from Delhi. The Territory Sales Managers from each region were invited on stage to present awards to the top performers from their regions.

Geometry Global Encompass Network and UltraTech have worked closely in the past on various events, which makes them a power team. Rohan Patil – Client Servicing Director, Geometry Global Encompass said, “It’s always a pleasure partnering with the UltraTech team. Working together was the key. Around 1100 people including dealers and their families took part in the R&R programme which took place from November 2 to 6 in Agra.
