Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI) has yesterday announced the agenda for the second edition of its annual flagship property- ‘Rural Conclave’, a two-day-long conference and networking event slated to be held on December 15 and 16, 2016 at Vivanta by Taj, Gurgaon.
Here is what the conclave will encompass over 2 days of sharing, networking, and mutual learning.
December 15, 2016 (Day 1)
Select sessions on Day 1 of the conclave will be covering Rural by means of Big Data, Market Prioritization, Digitally Enabled Farming; RURBAN will enable attendees to take away tactical and actionable advice that they can apply to their businesses. Marketing evangelist from new market challengers like Patanjali Ayurved will also unveil their competitive strategies on this day.
It is any rural marketers dream to reach all 6 Lac villages in India. Market prioritization by Smart Sorting by Data Analytics & Technology is believed to be the key to unlocking the reach. Piyush Bajpai (Director: Big Data Analytics, Nielsen India) and Sandeep Seth (Principal Consultant & Cofounder, LDMC (GIS Mapping) will show the attendees how it is done. The session will be moderated by Prashant Mandke (Vice President & Head Anugrah Madison).
The day will also see Sankalp Potbhare Head - Business Strategy and Sales Development at Reckitt Benckiser India, present a path-breaking case study on distribution: Project Vriddhi.

Venkatram Vasantavada (President- Crop Nutrition Business, Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemical Corporation Ltd.), Antony Cherukara (VP-Corporate Strategy & Head Agriculture & Allied Business, Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited) and Puneet Vidyarthi (Head Rural & Digital Innovation, JCB) with session moderator Anirban Chaudhury (Senior Vice President & Executive Planning Director at J. Walter Thompson) will explore the ways to harness Big Data.
Sanjay Panigrahi (President RURBAN and Special Projects, Pidilite Industries) will apprise on the emerging rural market clusters: Rurban, while three Industry experts will share their industry insights with the audience.
Sadasivan Chittur (Chief Marketing Officer, JK Lakshmi) and Venkatadri Ranganathan (Chief Operating Officer, Rallis India) will also present case studies in the session 'Marketers Lessons'.
December 16, 2016 (Day 2)
Day-2 of the conclave will initiate a unique networking platform ‘RUHIVE’ which will showcase the best avenues for Public-Private Partnerships to minimize the cost to reach rural maximize ROI. Over 300 delegates from Corporate, Government, Marketing and Media Agencies from India & Asia are expected to attend this event.
Sustainable and Inclusive Growth Initiatives for Communities’ Development will be presented by Sanjay Khajuria (Senior Vice President Corporate Affairs, Nestle India), Badri Beriwal (from Horlicks, GlaxoSmithKline) and Ritu Jhingon (General Manager - Corporate Communication & CSR, Cairn India).
Speakers from NSDC, India Post, NEGD (Ministry of Communications and IT) and Sandeep Aurora, Director, Marketing, and Market Development at Intel South Asia will set the context for PPP on Day 2.
