Evenflow Events Gathers 3000 Innovation Ideas at the Accenture Innovation Jockeys Season 5

Accenture India has been one of the most proactive organizations when it comes to promoting young and innovative minds in the country. One such initiative that recently demonstrated this was the Accenture Innovation Jockeys, held at The Leela Palace. This was the fifth season of Innovation Jockeys, and like all the past successful years, this year, too Evenflow Events and Experiences was roped in to plan, manage and execute the entire show.
The pre-event activations for the main event started with a tour of 23 colleges from all over the country marking the massive scale at which it was operated. Students interacted with people from the organisation in order to gain deeper insights into what makes Accenture a pioneer in technology development. The youthful vibe at the campus was further amplified through the decor and setup. Selfie booths were installed around the arena along with a graffiti wall where students could pen down their thoughts and ideas. Another highlight at the pre-event activations was the slot machine that dispensed goodies.
More than 3,000 entries from these 23 colleges were submitted for Accenture Innovation Jockeys Season 5 on three themes - Innovations to Prevent Malpractices or Corruption, Innovations to Create a Digital India, Innovations for the Empowerment of Women. 16 brilliant ideas were shortlisted from all the entries and were invited for the main event at Bangalore.
The main theme of the final event in Bangalore was “Change Your World. Innovate” and it was integrated into the event through aspects of hospitality and transport management which included welcoming the teams at the airport using digital placards. The main event was a two-day affair with the first day being an all-day Design Thinking Workshop where teams were encouraged to think out-of-the-box. Day 1 witnessed a lot of excellent ideas as each team presented their views on how to make the existing technologies even better.
The second day began with a bang, with innovation being at the heart of everything including the decor and setup. The highlights of the event were the Google cardboard station, the GIF photo-booth and registration through RFID tags. Getting technology into everything, the stage design was also incorporated in a way which spoke volumes about the technological bent at Accenture. All the 16 teams presented their innovative designs and ideas for the future to fight for the title at Innovation Jockeys 2016.
The evening began with an address by Mohan Shekhar, Senior Managing Director - Delivery Centers for Technology at Accenture, through which he sought to inspire young minds and motivate them to continue their journey on the path of innovation. This was followed by a prize distribution ceremony, where teams that stood out were appreciated for their efforts and participation. The evening was concluded with beautiful renditions from DWI band that added a melodious flavour to the evening. All in all, there was something for everyone and students went back with a happy face and a bank full of innovative ideas.
Like all the past successful years, this year, too Evenflow Events and Experiences was roped in to plan, manage and execute the annual property that engaged students of 23 colleges across India.
