Salt Experiences and Management Taj Palace Honor 8 Huawei Honor

Honor India, a brand that’s known for crafting technologically advanced and innovative products, recently ‘Doubled the Action’ when it launched the all new Honor 8. Conceptualised and produced by Salt Experiences & Management, the launch event took place on October 12 at the Taj Palace, New Delhi, and was attended by 150 bloggers and 350 media personnel.

Honor’s brief to Salt required that tech and lifestyle bloggers as well as media persons be invited for the sensational launch of the brand’s flagship product in the Honor series, Honor 8. The event was also to mark the second anniversary of the brand in India. The entire set-up and also the event flow had to be such that it left a lasting impression on each attendee, creating a strong recall.

Keeping these objectives in mind, Salt created an experiential event for the audience where the signature communication of the brand, ‘FOR THE BRAVE’ was translated into the theme of the event which was ‘Double the Action’. This theme was also in sync with key product features. The distinctive, sapphire blue colour, the 2.5D all-glass body, and the 2 cameras are the USPs of the Honor 8, and this was reflected in the designs on-ground.

The main stage screen was accompanied by 3 tapered screens on both sides, which produced a certain seamlessness along with depth. The whole view lent a larger-than-life feel to launch. Further, the launch content films were custom-designed as per the screen sizes and encapsulated all viewers.

To offer the audience a unique and live experience of the product, the agency designed a Demo zone which personified the Honor consumer. The 4 pillars of communication for the brand (Fashion, Carefreeness, Street & Sport) formed the inspiration for the four photo opportunities in the Demo Zone. Also, to establish an instant connect with the audience with respect to product features, glass art installations including 15-layered glass and cut glass installations, were set up. The hall was designed such that it brought the ‘coloured’ and ‘monochrome’ propositions to life just as the two cameras in the Honor 8 do.

The Honor philosophy and its presence in India was presented by George Zhao, Global President, Huawei/Honor and by Peter Zhai, Huawei President, India, whereas the phone was launched by Randeep Hooda and Nimrat Kaur.

The show was hosted by Bani J, and a surprise element in the form of a stand-up act by Pammi Aunty, a widely known You-tuber, was thrown in to give a twist to the product presentation.

SALT pulled off the production of the magnanimous set-up within 24 hours. This crunch in time was due to the heavy line up of events at the venue. The impeccable planning resulted in a flawless delivery of the event even after having multiple deliverables.

The experiential launch at the Taj Palace Delhi for around 500 bloggers and media persons featured a setup that reinforced the propositions of the new flagship product in the Honor Series.
