Leaving the Goa beaches and new year vibes behind, it is now confirmed that Vh1 Supersonic is moving to the city of Pune for its fourth edition that will be held on 10, 11, and 12th February.  

It is to be noted that Vh1 Supersonic has earlier hosted Vh1 Supersonic Arcades in Pune, with headliners Above & Beyond, Dash Berlin and Pretty Lights, to name a few, and has consistently received an overwhelming response.

Commenting on the shift in venue, Saugato Bhowmik, Head, LIVE Viacom18, said, “Carrying a legacy of offering the best in dance music, we are excited to host the upcoming edition of Vh1 Supersonic in Pune. It is reported that much like its previous editions Vh1 Supersonic 2017 in Pune too will be high on experiential activities beyond the mammoth artist line-up including numerous hangout zones, fun and adventurous activities, art installations, flea markets and a lot more!

This shift in the venue clearly comes as a shock to many partygoers who were eagerly awaiting to party the Supersonic way this year end. With Vh1 Supersonic not happening at all this year, it is a clear victory for Percept, the organizers of Sunburn who are certain to benefit from the undivided attention of partygoers in Goa this year.

This new development on the part of Vh1 Supersonic may also mean that the festival will now be rebranding itself as a youth-oriented EDM festival. However, it wouldn’t be wrong if we said that the festival will be losing out to a large chunk of its audiences as people wait for the year end period to party instead of the month of February. Also with the much loved Goa vibe missing from the festival, it will be rather interesting to see how the organizers will up their game and deliver an enthralling experience that defines Vh1 Supersonic.
