RMAI Ayurvet Flame Student Awards 2016 Celebrates The Best Summer Projects in Rural Marketing

RMAI RMAI Flame Student Awards

Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI) successfully concluded the 10th edition of Ayurvet Flame Student Awards on September 24th, 2016 at Hyatt Regency, Ahmedabad. The award program that hosted some of the leading names of Rural Marketing domain was a showcase of the best summer projects and case studies by the top B-school students in this sector. Recognizing best practices and innovative approaches in rural marketing which are furthering growth opportunities, this year's awards highlighted the potential marketing leaders and disruptors of the Rural sphere of tomorrow.

This year, 10 students presented their summer projects before an eminent panel of onsite jury who selected top 3 winners via a rigorous and methodical assessment approach involved in deciding the top achievers. Case studies that successfully embraced and adopted transformative shift in rural marketing, especially in agri sector, were applauded. Onsite jury included Sanjay Panigrahi (President RURBAN and Special Projects, Pidilite Industries Ltd.), Dr. Anup Kalra (Executive Director, Ayurvet), Venkat Ram Vasantavada (President, Agribusiness Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemical Corporation Ltd.), RajKumar Jha (National Creative Director, Ogilvy) and Sanjay Kaul (President RMAI and CEO Impact Communications).

The awards assessment, besides incorporating inputs from above expert analysts also involved a jury selection process with a panel of industry experts and thought leaders, which included some of the most prominent names from the industry. 

Sharing his views on the 2016 awards program, Sanjay Kaul President RMAI, said, "We are delighted to see many breakthrough case studies by premier B-schools in Rural Domain, especially in agribusiness sector. We are glad to honor these students for applying innovative tools and putting in great efforts to find and recommondent some relevant solutions to the interning organizations.”

Around 250 delegates (chiefly marketing managers and representatives from agencies & media, B-school professors & students) attended the ceremony not only to cheer the wining students but also to listen to the best of rural marketing practices from an eminent panel of speakers including RajKumar Jha (National Creative Director, Ogilvy) Sanjay Panigrahi (President, Pidilite Industries Ltd.) Dr. Anup Kalra (Director, Ayurvet Ltd.)Prashant Mandke (Vice President & Head Anugrah Madison), BiswabaranChakrabarti (Vice President, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd.), Nikhil Sharma (PartnerMART), Anirban Chaudhuri (Sr. Vice President & Executive Planning Director - J Walter Thompson) andVenkat Ram Vasantavada (President, Agribusiness Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemical Corporation Ltd.)

The 2016 Ayurvet Flame Student Award Recipients are:

First Prize :  IIM Indore : Nehanjali Srinivasan & Abhinav Ryakala

Second Prize : Indian Institute of Foreign Trade : Anuj Kalpesh Shah & Institute of Rural Management Anand : Ankita Jain & Sumeet Sourav

Third Prize : Birla Institute of Management Technology : Neha Kharbanda & Institute of Rural Management Anand : Nithin K & Nutan Kumar
