The 2nd edition of the Renewable Energy India (REI) Awards felicitated stalwarts of the renewable energy sector, and also featured insightful discussions and mesmerizing entertainment. The event was held at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida on September 6, and was followed by networking evenings on September 7 and 8. Real Show won the pitch and was handed over the mandate to manage this event, attended by around 600 people, all players in the renewable energy sector.

The Renewable Energy Expo featured the Renewable Energy India (REI) Awards, a unique initiative by UBM India honouring the best in the renewable energy business. The awards aim to recognize and promote talent and efforts of companies in the Renewable Energy industry.

Talking about the brief received for the event, JD Mazoomdar, CEO, Real show Pvt Ltd said, “This year the client wanted the stage design to be more dynamic & technology driven and hence, we designed a full LED set-up where we used multiple processors for multiple visuals on an LED wall.”

Companies who have excelled in the field of Renewable Energy were presented with a plaque and a certificate recognizing their contribution to the industry. These awards celebrate excellence and provide a platform for companies to gain the recognition for their contribution to the energy space. Winners and finalists benefited from extensive PR & marketing advantage, and have the spotlight shine on their achievements among the industry’s best.

On managing the event, Mazoomdar added, “There were about 600 national and international guests, and generally when you do an event for so many people with round table seating, the guests sitting behind don't feel connected to the stage. Also, there were about 20 winners and we had to complete the entire show with awards, entertainment, and the speech in less than two hours. To manage all this in time, the winners had to be seated at a place from where they could quickly reach the stage.”

The audience at the event was also engaged through photo-ops with various props in the pre-function area. Gazal Bhatt was the host for the evening, while the entertainment saw Tron dancers spruce up the evening.
