YS Design Studio designed and produced this invite for the Engagement Ceremony of Sanya Goenka, daughter of Renu and Anjani Kumar Goenka (G.D. Goenka World School).
The décor at this event was a French-flavoured fairytale theme, in dreamy pinks, soft aquas and greens and primarily chiffon beige, which the client wanted, reflected in the card. Additionally, the client required an innovative customized gift, as part of the invite.
The concept of a personalized stationery box as the invite began to take shape. The box consisted of personalized best compliment cards in 2 designs (feminine and generic), personalized plain folded cards with envelopes again in 2 designs (Feminine and generic).
French Renaissance architectural motifs and design in soft pink, lime green, light grey and beige had an overwhelming presence on the exterior of the uniquely fashioned box with the tapered top.
A sleek Parisian vase with a rose endowed pattern (in metal deposit) placed on the ornamental wall mounted mirrored console made for the central visual. An ornamental keyhole and other metal fittings decorating antique chests were used graphically.
On opening, the 3-dimensional scene of a couple in silhouette, on a grand staircase, with a towering crystal chandelier, framed within two marble pillars of classical order and foliage in a vintage look, was the ‘oomph’ factor of the invite.
A Chantilly lace intended filigree border graced the main invite insert, and upon lifting, one could view the entire French-inspired bespoke personalized stationery set of best compliment cards, single fold cards with matching envelopes.
The purpose of a keepsake was very well fulfilled, as the stationery was treasured in the complementing chest.
Yogesh Gajwani, Director, YS Design Studio explained, “The main challenge that came was to individually pack 300 invites with 300 personalized names/family names with matching outside wrappers. Also all packing, stocking, delivery had to happen in air conditioned environment as Royce chocolates were a part of the invite box.”
He also mentioned that certain potions were electro-plated in Silver to bring a bit of chic-ness to the invite. The box top was fabricated in an innovative tapered style. The inside lid of the box had a 3 layered lazer cut scene of a couple in silhouette, on a grand staircase, with a towering crystal chandelier. The main single sheet invite had an intricate laser cutting.
