Ever since Coldplay came to India last year, rumor mills began working overtime speculating about when this majorly popular band will perform in India and quench the thirst of its millions of fans across the country? And a few days back when the official website of the band confirmed a tour in Mumbai, fans in India rejoiced in the news, some even booking their flight tickets in advance and applying for casual leaves around the concert time.

Interestingly, there hasn’t been a single day since then when Coldplay has not been in the national media. While some media houses recently reported that the prices of this concert world begin at a whopping INR 25 Thousand and would go up to around INR 5 Lakhs, a few others joined the bandwagon of creating dissipated humor with “One would have to sell their kidney to buy the tickets” jokes.

How and When

Global Citizen Festival is an annual not-for-profit music festival that started in the US in 2012 and in 2014, The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the Global Citizen Festival in New York.

It is believed that the Coldplay frontman Chris Martin met the Indian PM in Delhi on his visit to India to shoot their music video and it was at this stage when the discussions to promote initiatives such as Swachh Bharat, and Beti Bachao – Beto Padhao through a concert began.

The concert is part of Global Citizen’s launch of a 15-year campaign to mobilize social change in India.

Wizcraft International will be managing and producing this concert at the MMRDA (BKC) in Mumbai on November 19.

How can you get your tickets?

Internal sources from have confirmed that while most tickets to the concert will be free, a few will also be sold exclusively on its platform for INR 5000 and will then increase with each phase, susequently hitting INR 15,000.

Free tickets can be earned by signing up at the offcial Global Citizen website and completing a set of charitable campaigns.

The tickets on Bookmyshow go on sale around September 15 and one can't buy more than 2 tickets per transaction.

Sources from which are the ticketing partner for the event have also revealed that the show will mainly feature 70 percent Indian artists.

It is reported that Ranveer Singh, Arijit Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Aamir Khan, Shraddha Kapoor are a few names that are almost confirmed to perform at the event.

Additionally, no alcohol will be served or allowed at the event.

In terms of management & production partners, it is speculated that SOUND.COM will be managing the audio setup for the event.
