Vibgyor Creates a Thematic Experience Zone, Art Gallery & More @Huawei P9 Launch

Vibgyor Brand Services recently won a multi-agency pitch to manage and execute the launch of P9, Huawei’s premium flagship smartphone at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi on August 17.

Since the product Huawei P9 takes smartphone photography to a new level with a dual-lens rear camera, the design of the event was based on the international theme #ChangeTheWayYouSeeTheWorld and #OO, a campaign that highlights the dual lens camera feature brought to India by Huawei's collaboration with leica, using technology that combines monochrome and color in the final output of the photograph giving it more depth and clarity.
The event also saw Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), India’s apex industry body for fashion, announce its partnership with Huawei P9. Sunil Sethi, President FDCI, announced Huawei P9 as the official camera phone for the Amazon India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2017.
The launch event was ideated, conceptualized and executed by Vibgyor Brand Services from scratch. The décor of the launch area was done keeping in mind the theme, through an art gallery with coloured pictures displayed on one side and Black & White pictures on the other side of the hall. An 80ft wide stage with an LED Screen was elaborately set up to launch the smartphone.
In addition to this, an elaborate and thematic experience zone was created for the demo of the smartphone and the watch. Media attendees walked through the tunnel to the demo zone where the phones were displayed, in an innovative experience. The demo area décor was again woven into the #OO theme and photo-op zones were created to click pictures. A pianist and violinist were engaged to provide a soothing musical background in this area. Vibgyor managed the entire event from end to end including travel bookings, hotel coordination, event management, content and every aspect associated with the event.
Peter Zhai, President, Huawei India, Consumer Business Group along with Bollywood actors Sushmita Sen, Boman Irani and world renowned photographer Darren Centofanti, launched the smartphone. The company also launched Huawei Smart Watch and revealed other upcoming products – the Matebook and the TalkBand B3, which will be debuting soon in India. A customized launch AV showcased the theme ‘#ChangeTheWayYouSeeTheWorld’ and the product. The event was live streamed across the globe with Cyrus Sahukar playing the lovely host of the evening.
