Delhi Festival Tender Update: These 6 Agencies Qualified to Give Final Presentations

On July 2, the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) had released its Expression of Interest (EOI) for hire of an event management agency to manage the first ever ‘Delhi Festival 2016’. The tender for the project was valued at 15 Cr. INR and the objective of the EOI was to solicit proposals from the interested event management agencies to conceptualize, plan, design, execute and deliver the Delhi Festival 2016 on a turnkey basis.
Now, sources from the Delhi government have confirmed that a total of 17 event management companies responded to the EOI, from which 8 agencies qualified for the submission of the technical bid. Out of these 8 agencies only 6 have made it to the final presentation round. These 6 agencies are- Geometry Global Encompass Network, Ferriswheel Entertainment, ThoT Media, Fountainhead MKTG, World Wide Media and Promodome in consortium with Touchwood Group.
These 6 agencies will now make their respective presentations in front of the Delhi government officials post which the final round of selection, the financial bid will be opened to zero down on the executing agency for the Delhi festival.
It is being reported that the final decision on the agency will be announced on August 26.
One of the key insights that came out of The WOW Convention Asia earlier this year was about how the Indian government can become the biggest client for the players in the event industry. The Delhi Festival 2016 is only the latest testament to this. And of course, industry-government collaborations in the past year or so have also strenghtened relations, which as we expected is also having an effect on the number and type of events that governments themselves are looking to execute.
