Anil Kapoor Graces the Mphasis Annual R & R 2016 Dubai - By Geometry Global Encompass Network

To honour the heroes and the pillars of the organization, Mphasis hosted its 7th Annual Rewards & Recognition Program at the Conrad Hotel, Dubai from July 11 to 13, 2016.

With a theme of ‘Unleashing the Best of the Next’, the Mphasis Annual R & R 2016 Dubai was executed by Geometry Global Encompass Network for the 2nd year in succession.

The objective was to create a communication tool for the guests to break the ice with each other before the event. Their responsibilities included: conceptualizing activities of the convention that would engage the delegates, design and fabricate the set of the convention and the gala dinner, branding elements and so on.

Here’s the lowdown of the 3-day event, as stated by the agency:

Geometry Global Encompass Network was determined to digitize the event from day #1 by setting up a full-fledged mobile application for the event. All the updates and communication elements were pushed out through the app that included attendee profiles, the agenda and a news feed page (similar to Facebook), and so everybody felt connected & in-touch.

Over 208 registered guests assembled at the Conrad Dubai to commence this year’s celebrations. Day #1 marked the beginning of the event – the guests settled in the lobby after lunch, excited to explore the Arabic land, Dubai. They were taken on a unique ride into the famous desert of Dubai. The guests further got a taste of Dubai, as they dune bashed their way through the desert. The guests were later surprised to arrive at a camping site that was decorated using the event theme hues. Drinks were served in customized mugs, which could be taken home as a souvenir. The guests also got a chance to groove and let loose with the famous middle-eastern belly dancers – performing the ‘Tanoura’ act.

Day #2 was planned to be more energetic and competitive. A sports tournament was held between the teams, so Mphasians could bring out their team spirit and win their way to victory. Teams went hammer and tong on the field to claim the medal. Football, Basketball and Cricket were the top 3 sports that formed the ‘Mphasis Sports Tournament’. Post the games, the teams got to relax and rejuvenate through a Yoga session.

This was followed by a conference at the hotel with the company’s CEO, Ganesh Ayyar.

The gala evening kicked-off with the CEO addressing the guests and laying the foundation for the evening. An interactive act by a well-renowned group from Japan, going by the name of ENRA, electrified the stage with their performance. This was followed by a felicitation ceremony.

Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor was also part of the gala celebrations. He also presented the ‘Mphasian of the Year Award’, followed by a group picture.

On successfully putting together the 3-day activity, Rajat Vats, Client Servicing Senior Manager at Encompass Events said, “Dubai was a challenge considering the city was resuming work after a 10 day long EID holiday. Working together was the key. Teams from both sides put in a fabulous effort to make this event possible. It’s always a pleasure working with the Mphasis team. Positive feedback from the team and the guests is always a bonus. It was great to see that all the delegates enjoyed and the work put in by the team was well appreciated. We look forward to take this relation a long way.”
