Shah Rukh Khan Reveals D’Assist by D’Décor at the Digital Premier Night by E02 Events

Over 800 dealers and 100 media professionals gathered to celebrate the mega launch of D’Assist – the flagship mobile app by D’Décor for its dealers and end users. The app was unveiled by the brand ambassador Shah Rukh Khan at the digital premier night, held in Grand Hyatt Santacruz on June 30. D'Décor's Managing Directors Ajay and Sanjay Arora also marked their presence at the launch that was managed by EO2 Events.

The evening was hosted by Hussain Kuwajerwala and Neha Dupia, and the opening act was delivered by singer duo Amal & Armaan Malik. 

According to EO2, D’Décor’s mandate was to project the company in its new phase, as it entered into the digital era of home décor furnishings.

The event had been planned for a time span of 3 months, where the ideation and brainstorming of how the launch was to be designed to give the users a digital interactive user experience of the app, while not revealing the app completely, as the event was followed by a 3-day app experience zone, where end users and dealers could witness the app first hand.

Elegantly designed invites were created with an RFID band that was sent to each invitee. Upon arriving at the event, they would scan their bands and receive a personalized message on our registration screens.

The entrance passage way was designed with a series of 10 LED walls that projected animated content inspired from the latest collection of D’Décor fabrics. Upon arriving at the center of the pre-function area, guests saw a 360 degree projection mapped interactive install, where people could change the visuals on a 3D projection mapped cylinder made out of 3 layers of sheer fabrics from D’décor. The patterns projected were created from the bestselling fabrics that D’décor had to offer. A futuristic bar and virtual DJ were put in place to create a digital ambience to the entire pre-function area.   

The main stage was created as a spectacle installation of tier seating that went upto a height of 12 feet, so that the guests could enjoy the mesmerizing experience of a 140ft 180 degree curved backdrop, a projection mapped stage in the center (floor mapping) as well as 3D UV mapped furniture that was placed along the backdrop.

3D projection mapping content had been created for the theme launch, SRK’s entry as well as an interactive user experience of the mapping changing on stage showcasing D’Décor’s latest collection and the simplified implication of the app being a source to simplify interior design when it comes to home decor.

On the innovation front, Rishabh Agrawal, Creative director, EO2 Events commented, “A beautifully scripted 3D projection mapped content which showcased a woman travelling through luxury destinations and deriving inspirations from them and eventually capturing those imaginations and converting them into the décor of her home was the highlight of the event. After SRK’s entry onto stage, a kid comes up and together they journey through the ease of the use of the app. Individual dealers were also invited onto stage to experience the virtual end use of the app as they created beautiful interiors on our 3D projection mapped furniture. This was truly an amazing experience for our guests.”

They event ended with an hour long interaction of SRK with the dealers along with Ajay Arora closing the event with finally showcasing the various features of the app.
