Vibgyor's On-Ground Activities For Ola Grand Driver Mela in Bengaluru

India-based travel app, Ola recently organized ‘Grand Driver Mela’ in Bangalore, with leading car manufacturers and financiers. Held at White Orchid Convention Centre, the week-long mela provided the drivers with an opportunity to join Ola, by buying cabs at a discounted price and avail attractive finance scheme. Vibgyor Brand Services associated themselves with Grand Driver Mela, from May 18 to 22, as its event and experiential partner. It is estimated that the event, executed over a period of 5 days, witnessed the footfall of around 10,000 people and with total sales of going upto 100 cars for each brand.

During the Driver Mela, Ola provided with a single window support system to help drivers with formalities around permits, license conversion and conversion of private vehicles to commercial vehicles. Leading car manufacturers like Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Fiat, Mahindra and Hyundai also offered a range of cars at attractive prices. The mela also featured financiers like Mahindra Finance, Cholamandalam Finance, Punjab National Bank and IDBI who provided on spot financing options for drivers.

Vibgyor planned a week long pre-hype activities from May 10 to 17. A tempo traveler featuring Ola branding travelled not only in Bangalore, but even on the outskirts of the city covering places like Mandya, Mysore, Kanakpura and Peenya. The hi-tech studio on wheels was created fitted with LCD screens and Wi-Fi. The promoters would approach the target audience (drivers) and explain them about the entrepreneurship opportunity with Ola. Other activities like distributing pamphlets and putting up standees at various petrol pumps of different cities and toll plazas were also done to spread awareness about the driver mela. Lookwalkers dressed in white overalls and backlit with Ola Expo branding walked around the market places of Bangalore making drivers aware about the event.
