Indian Film Academy (IIFA) recently announced that the 17th edition of the IIFA Awards will be held in the capital of Spain- Madrid from June 23 to 26, 2016. The details regarding this intellectual property of Wizcraft International were revealed in a glittering press conference yesterday at ITC Maurya New Delhi.

Modern Stage Services managed the technical part of the conference flawlessly while Gitikka Ganju Dhar as the Emcee added incredible grace. The event was also attended by Bollywood Actors Anil Kapoor and Farhan Akhar. 

Much like previous years, this time too multiple sponsors have associated with the awards. Videocon d2h services have come on board as the main sponsors of the IIFA Weekend festivities this year while Maruti Suzuki  is the title sponsors of the eagerly awaited awards night. Additionally, Hero Cycles have continued their association with IIFA this year, being the Cause Partners for this year of the awards.

IIFA awards will be exclusively telecasted on COLORS channel who too have continued their association with the awards from last year. Commenting on partnering with IIFA for the second time in a row, Raj Nayak, CEO, COLORS, “IIFA 2015 was a thundering success. This year we intend to take this Bollywood extravaganza a couple of notches higher than last year. 1-FICCI- IIFA Global Business Forum 2016

The FICCI- IIFA Global Business Forum 2016 is a part of the Videocon d2h IIFA Weekend, in Madrid and will be held on the 24th June 2016. Organized by FICCI and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, The FICCI- IIFA Global Business Forum 2016 will see powerful minds coming together to address global issues of renewable energy and climate change. This year, the Business Forum at IIFA will hold a greater significance as it marks 60 years of relations between India and Spain. As a platform, the FICCI- IIFA Global Business Forum will be stimulating space for business between India and Spain and subsequently paving the way for better relations between India, Europe and Latin America. Highlights of the forum to include innovation and entrepreneurship, soft power, global issues of renewable energy and climate change.

2- IIFA Stomp collaboration with Madrid MULAFEST

Another highlight of the IIFA Awards 2016 is coming together of the Spanish and Indian culture as the traditional IIFA Stomp collaborates with MULAFEST Urban Trends Festival, organized by the MULA community and IFEMA. The artist lineup at the festivities includes the names of musicians like Raghu Dixit Project, B.R.E.E.D, Midival Punditz featuring Karsh Kale and friends, and Nucleya.

The NEXA IIFA Awards 2016 will be hosted by the multitalented FarhanAkhtar and the versatile actor ShahidKapoor. The duo have already hosted the 15th edition of the awards in 2014 and if their previous collaboration was any indication, viewers of the awards are in for a laugh riot again.
