5k Plus Students Make 4th Edition of The Edutainment Show a Grand Success in Mumbai

4th edition of the Edutainment Show, organised by Events Capital - a Laqshya Media group company, recently concluded in Mumbai on a high note with more than 5000 students pouring in to participate in Asia’s largest educational exhibition, summit, and awards.

The past 3 editions of the Edutainment Show were also huge successes, with over 40 top industry speakers, more than 100 institutes, and 4000+ students participating in the exhibition and summit. Since then the property has spread over to 6 cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Guwahati and Ahmedabad. The 2016 Bangalore edition was also recently inaugurated by T. B. Jayachandra, Hon'ble Minister of Law and Higher Education, Government of Karnataka.

The Mumbai Show began with an impressive opening on Mar 16, 2016 at JW Marriot. The event was honoured and inaugurated by Anant Rangaswami, Editor, Storyboard - CNBC-TV18; Dr. Indu Shahani, Former Sheriff - Mumbai and Principal, HR College; and Siddharth Kumar Tewary, Founder, Creative Director - Swastik Productions.
Students were seen attending sessions where they got an opportunity to explore exciting career options in Media, Communication, and design education. Attendees also participated in informative workshops and seminars by Shweta Minocha – Faculty, School of Fashion Styling and Textiles, Pearl Academy; Anjum Rajabali - Film Scriptwriter, Whistling Woods International; Parsheen Irani, Program Manager - ISDI WPP School of Communication and others.

Day 2 of the Mumbai Show featured interesting seminars by notable personalities like Prahlad Kakkar; Tanmay Bhatt - Co-founder of comedy sketch group All India Bakchod; Mayank Shekhar - Indian Film Critic, Author, and Journalist; Raghu Ram - Television Producer; and Roshan Abbas - Managing Director, Geometry Global Encompass Network. The students were particularly excited to interact with television and film personalities like Rishabh Sinha, Viraf Patel, Claudia and more. The Day 2 sessions concluded with an incredible closing speech by Deepak Choudhary, Director and CEO – Event Capital and the organiser of The Edutainment Show.
The institutes that participated at The Educational Show included Pearl Academy - Delhi, Amity University, ISDI, Shiamak Davar International, Symbiosis Institute of Photography, Whistling Woods International Institute - Mumbai, Design Keeda, North Point Centre of learning etc.

The Show saw some interesting seminars like Future of Fashion Forum, with panellists like Neeta Lulla and Nikhil Thampi; Inspiration - Film, Media, Entertainment and Fashion by Whistling Woods International, Advertising and Communication by ISDI, and Design Conclave by DSK with panellists like Nachiket Barve, Amruta Fadnavis, Sonal Dabral and Subrata Bhowmick which received maximum response from the students and the attendees.

Day 1 also saw the conclusion of The Edutainment Awards, widely recognized as the gold standards in Media, Communication, and Design education sector. Each year these awards hundreds of entries that exemplify the talent, dedication and innovation of institutes across all aspects of education. As part of the awards ceremony, Eminent Design and Communication Teacher Subrata Bhowmick was honoured with Lifetime Contribution honours.
