CS Direkt Takes Canon's Business Partners To Taipei and Sales Team To Andaman

CS Direkt was on-board to manage and execute the 2016 Canon Leadership Summit in Taipei (Taiwan) from March 10 to 13 and in Andaman (India) from March 14 to 18, respectively. Based on the theme of 'League of Victors', the event, in Taipei, was hosted for Canon’s top business partners, whereas the Andaman leg was for the sales team of the company. Around 125 partners and employees attended the 3-day summit in each country.

The tour was built around an exclusive incentive journey to celebrate the achievements of Canon’s business partners and employees. Awards and accolades were personally handed over to each partner and employee by Kazutada Kobayashi, President & CEO, Canon India with the company’s senior management present at the summit.

Anjali Pasricha, Director, CS Direkt, said, "The idea was to plan a trip, which would be exciting, entertaining and memorable. The itinerary was planned in such a way, so that each individual traveler had time off to enjoy the beautiful serene landscape of Taipei city, and also get a tour of the places which would give them memories for a lifetime. Delegates traveling were each given a specially designed travel booklet which they could carry with themselves 24x7 to keep a track of their plans. The booklet gave each one a safety net, which meant that at any time, if they wanted to explore on their own they knew exactly where their colleagues and friends were and knew how to reach them."

Destination Direkt, the MICE arm of CSD planned the bookings and various other travel details for delegates, whereas CSD built the event in terms of entertainment and sightseeing. 

Asked about customising the team building activities, Pasricha, said, “The interactive games and fun elements like Karaoke and photography contests added more fun. Some of the shots captured by the Canon team were phenomenal and the management is working towards publishing a calendar for their internal employees with the best photographer’s picture on the cover."

Concluding on the execution challenges, she commented, “The team faced huge challenges with language and communication in Taipei and that’s where the travel book became a helpful source of information for direction. The Andaman story was different, here the team faced immense mobile and data network issues. They managed to pull off a successful event, despite the huge communication problems they faced. The travel book in this case once again gave travelers a clarity on timings."
