Ice Vidhi Mandap At The Kavedia & Jain Wedding By Momentum Group

After hosting a mesmerizing engagement in the Maldives, the well-known Kavedia Family of Siddhivinayak Builders celebrated their daughter Reesha’s wedding in their homeland, Pune on March 13 at Lakshmi Lawns that stretches over an area of 2 lakh sq. ft. Momentum Group was given the task to conceptualise, design and execute the extravagant affair that hosted 7 ceremonies at different venues, including the bride's residence, The Westin Hotel and The Oakwood Hotel in Pune.

We present to you major moments from the lavish ceremony...

MEHENDI 

The Bride’s bungalow that was set in rich kota stone work was artistically wrapped in bright coloured flowers and dramatic draping of red and yellow to embody a ‘Mehendi’ look. Seven trucks of flowers were used for this function. Adjoining lawn had a gala entertainment by Raja Hasan & his troupe.

SANGEET

An Oscar styled set was supported by two cranes of 150 ft boom each, with LED loor stage. The set up was further accentuated with couple sitting in the center. Celebrity performers from the likes of Pritam (Singer/ Music Director), Aditi Singh Sharma, Abhijeet Sawant, Sunil Grover (gutthi), Flute mermaid, Mallica Malhotra and many others took the entertainment quotient to the next level.

BARAAT SWAGAT 

Forty dancers and musicians at the entrance were specially choreographed for the Royal Mughal Darbar/ Grand Rajwada styled welcome. This was carefully tweaked to suit the occasion followed by a surprise performance of Rodney Fernandes leading it to a mini-party for the Baraatis. 

PHERAS

The 'Vidhi Mandap' made up of only ice was also created. Ice Carvers from UK and Russia were flown in specially to get the desired look of varmala & vidhi mandap. According to Momentum, a total of 20000 kgs of ice sculptures were chiseled out to make the pheras like a 'Never Seen Before' look. Vedic phera performance by Hiral Kamani troupe added further magic to this fire and ice ceremony.

RECEPTION

Tree of life was the theme chosen for the grand Reception. Illusion of giant (20’ height) floral trees in the entire venue set in a white and silver background was a mesmerizing sight. 26 huge tree structures were specially fabricated in metal with 35000 flower stems on each. 15000 kgs of electroplated crystal beads added the glitter to the whole evening along with a ponderous quantity of sheer white fabric. A special floral designer was flown in to get the look accurate.  International 10-piece 'Symphony' band further added the musical elegance to the evening.
