WOOT Factor Manages Josh Unlimited 2016 For HDFC Bank

Josh Unlimited is a platform created for HDFC Bank across India currently reaching 26 cities. The thought behind this concept is that employees of HDFC bank in multiple cities get a day to leave behind their daily workload and enjoy a Sports Day full of JOSH (Energy). The initiative is currently in its fourth year and has been managed by WOOT Factor since its inception.
Starting in the year 2012-13, Josh reached out to 8 cities, moving to 15 cities in the 2013-14 season, increasing to 20 cities for the 2014-15 season and in 2015-16 season grew bigger with a reach to 26 cities. This one of its kind sporting extravaganza moved from city to city covering a distance of 29,957 kms in total.
The latest season of Josh saw more than 13000 employees participating in this Intra Company - Intercity Olympics. The Josh caravan travelled to all corners of India visiting the metroes and also cities like Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Cochin, Goa, Guwahati, Indore, Jaipur, Jammu, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Nagpur, Nashik, Patna, Rajkot, Ranchi, Srinagar, Baroda and Vijayawada.
The tournament this year saw a new sport being added in the form of Lagori, besides other popular platforms like: Cricket, Football, Badminton, Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis and Athletics.
“Josh is not just an event, it is now a part of the curriculum at this organization. We at WOOT Factor look forward to hosting Josh every season and the enthusiasm, energy (Josh) and scale of this platform is infectious. It’s our honor and pride to be part of this Josh family” said Amit Relan, Co-Producer at WOOT Factor Events.
The final round of the series had qualifiers from the top 10 cities competing and vying to get their hands on the glittering Josh Unlimited 2016 trophy. 400 hours and 4 months of sporting action culminated into one grand finale and the cities Baroda, Bangalore, Chennai, Goa, Kerala, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Patna and Jammu battled out to clinch the ultimate glory.
The finale was a two-day affair and was organized at the Dominic Savio Sports ground in Andheri, Mumbai. This event was a colorful occasion with all teams being introduced in a flamboyant style with team leaders being called onto the stage with their respective flags. There were attractive performances and activities organized during the opening and closing ceremony for the entertainment of the participants. The ceremony drew its conclusion with the majestic and grand trophy for all India Josh Unlimited Champions being unveiled by HDFC bank dignitaries.
The finals were a closely contested affair with the leaderboard changing spots with each game that was played, but in the end the host city – Mumbai were the ones who could call themselves champions of Josh Unlimited 2016, with the Mumbai Tigers emerging victorious by a whopping margin of 11 points. WOOT Factor helped summarize this journey as one of the most engaging, attractive and competitive platform for corporate employees.
