Celebrities & Contests Win The Crowds At Mulund Festival '15; Managed By Nash Events & Entertainment

The Mulund Festival 2015, one of the biggest events held in the Mumbai suburbs, concluded with a Bollywood celebrity-studded grand finale at the Kalidas Ground in Mulund West. The 6th edition of the event organised by Charan Singh Sapra (Chairman of the NGO ‘Sewak’) was managed by Nash Events & Entertainment and featured several competitions, a marathon, a Harley Davidson bikers rally and entertainment sessions. Having been associated with the fest for the last five years, Nash Events has ensured consistent growth in the scale of execution, competition verticals, and the Mega Grand Finale, every year. 

The four-day fest held from Dec 24 - 27, 2015 served as a platform for Mumbaikars to showcase their talents as well as interact with the celebrity guests. Various competitions and activities like Cricket, Dance, Karaoke Singing, Cooking, Painting, Rangoli, Bodybuilding & entertainment are organised to keep the engagement factor quotient high. The contests were held over Dec 24 - 26, while the Mulund marathon was flagged off on Dec 27, followed by the grand finale featuring celebrity performances by comedian and actor Kapil Sharma, playback singer Kunal Ganjawala, and many others. 

Participation for the various events and activities arrived from across the nation, including more than 40 riders for the Harley Davidson Bike rally. The marathon saw around 7000 runners consisting of men, women, children, and senior citizens. The grand finale attracted a crowd of over 5000 people, trying to catch a glimpse of the celebrities and enjoy the entertainment programs. The celebrity presence included Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi who was present at the Bodybuilding competition, while filmmaker Rohit Shetty and standup comedian Rajiv Thakur joined Kapil and Kunal at the grand event on the last day of the fest. Television personalities, Sudeepa Singh and Sharad Malhotra also interacted with the crowd. MRCC (Mumbai Regional Congress Committee) president Sanjay Nirupam presented awards to the National Record Holders like IPL cricketer Pravin Tambe, and journalist and artist Prakash Joshi, among others. 

The idea behind the initiative is to facilitate a common celebration and explore the talent among the youngsters. The event organiser’s brief to Nash Events stated - “Mulund which is known as the Prince of Suburbs, should not only be highlighted in Maharashtra, but in the entire country.” The agency matched the challenge and put together an engaging event that brought together around 15,000 people, participating in various events and activities held across the four days.

The "Mulund Festival" was a celebration which united all the residents of Mulund. Commenting of this year’s successful fest, Sapra said, “Every year Mulund Festival keeps getting bigger and we get participation not only from Mulund but from all over Mumbai.”
