Team Rustic Manages SRK Events for Kansai Nerolac

Team Rustic SRK ITC Sonar Hyatt Regency
Team Rustic conceptualised, planned and executed a series of events with SRK for Kansai Nerolac in Kolkata. There were 5 back-to-back events organised at 2 different venues all in one day. This is the second such event the agency is managing for the brand in the last one year. The first one was organised in Nepal, and also saw brand ambassador Shah Rukh Khan interact with the audiences there.
The day’s events began with a press conference at ITC Sonar Bangla, attended by the media fraternity. The event included a book launch by the brand and a Q&A session with SRK. This was followed by a Meet and Greet at an adjoining venue for potential customers and contractors from the paint industry. The event included a special 30 minute session with SRK.
Following this, the next event took place at the Hyatt Regency. This was an ‘Up close and personal with SRK’ event that provided the guests a photo op. The show was hosted by Emcee Gunjan Utreja and involved a Q&A session with the star. This was followed by a photo op for dealers along with their families.
Lastly, the main event called ‘Badshahs Meet Badshah’ was attended by over 500 guests who were preselected for this Meet and Greet event. This included winners of a contest who also got the chance to perform live with SRK on stage.
The event was planned with a 50 feet wide LED stage set up and had SRK entering in a dramatic way with a Kabuki drop reveal. Beat Busters, the dance troupe from Kolkatta performed at the event and entertained the guests. Other elements of the event included a 1 hour interactive session with the star where he also gave away autographed gifts and DVDs.
On the agency’s experience managing the day’s events, Vinod Janardhan, Managing Director, Team Rustic said, “This massive event witnessed 5 back to back events on the same day. Crunched timelines meant that we had to turnaround the event in less than a week. Right from SRK’s itinerary, security and logistics to the event creatives, registration, guest entry, entertainment, show scripting and content creation everything was managed within the given timelines. Since this wasn't the first meet and greet with SRK for the brand, we had to exceed the benchmark of the Nepal event we executed in March 2015. We definitely achieved this and over 500 guests with their families took back great memories of watching their favourite star Shah Rukh Khan in a star studded event.
The event series took place in Kolkata at the ITC Sonar Bangla and the Hyatt Regency.
