Encompass & Ferriswheel Get Busy with South Asian Games and Pakistan Super League Opening Ceremonies

The 2016 South Asian Games, officially the XII South Asian Games, will be a major multi-sport event that will take place from 5 February to 16 February 2016 in Guwahati and Shillong, India. A total of 2,672 athletes are scheduled to compete in 228 events over 23 sports. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 2016 South Asian Games in Guwahati on 5 February 2016.

On 19 December 2015, Tikhor the baby Rhino was unveiled to the public as the official mascot for the 2016 South Asian Games. According to the organising committee, Tikhor carries the message of Peace, Progress, and Prosperity in the South Asian region.

The 12th South Asian Games will be the biggest sporting extravaganza ever in the North East of India and the 1st ever gender equal South Asian Games with men and women participation in all the sports.

A glittering opening ceremony has been planned for 5 February 2016 in Guwahati which has been conceptualised and will be managed by Encompass Events.

A separate ceremony will also be held in Shillong on 6th February 2016 for athletes participating in Shillong.

The 2016 Pakistan Super League or HBL PSL 2016 is the upcoming debut season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), established by the Pakistan Cricket Board. The season will also commence on 4 February 2016 in the United Arab Emirates and the final match will be held on 23 February 2016 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

The official logo was launched on 20 September in Lahore where official song Ab Khel Ke Dikha (Now Show Us Your Play) was also performed live by renowned Pakistani artist Ali Zafar.

Ali Zafar and global hip-hop sensation Sean Paul will set the stage alight at the opening ceremony of HBL Pakistan Super League, which is being manage by Ferriswheel Entertainment.

It is said that actors Sanam Saeed and Mohib Mirza will also participate in the opening ceremony, for fans at the stadium.

Pakistan Super League opening ceremony is scheduled for 4 Feb in Dubai while The South Asian Games opening ceremony is scheduled for 5 Feb in Guwhati.
