Cineyug Conceptualises and Produces Star Screen Awards 2015 with a Bollywood Mela Concept

Cineyug International Entertainment scripted, managed, conceptualised and produced the Star Screen Awards 2015, which took place on Jan.8 at BKC, Mumbai. The Awards witnessed hosts Karan Johar and Kapil Sharma bring out this year’s concept of Bollywood Mela in a grand way. The award show felicitated both on-screen talent and those behind the scenes with a total of 37 award categories for main artists, the technical team, new comers, and supporting artistes. There were also categories for music.

Here are some highlights from the evening

• The script had a fun ‘girls vs boys’ element, where Shilpa Shetty, Farah Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Preity Zinta and Harshali Malhotra played ‘girl power’ segment hosts for the evening, also stating the fact that it’s been the year of women in Bollywood with the release of many women oriented films.
• Ranveer Singh set the stage ablaze with a performance to his hits from the last five years, as he entered on a graffiti styled car which was flown over the audience before landing on stage where he performed to his hit song Ainvayi Ainvayi. He performed on the 3 different satellite stages with appropriate backgrounds for his most popular songs such as Tattad Tattad, Tune Mari Entriyaan and Gallan Goodiyan. He then went back on the main stage to perform on Malhari.
• Jacqueline Fernandez in a vibrant retro act performed to hits like Jawani Janeman, Disco Station, Jab Chhaye Mera Jadoo, Pyar Karne Wale, Yeh Mera Dil, Dum Maro Dum and more.
• Akshay Kumar made an entrance on a helicopter onto the stage. A Punjabi band and Elli, Mouni and Sanjeeda played while he performed. His latest movie Airlift was also integrated as part of the show.
• Varun Dhawan made an entry on a bike as he performed on Jee Karda, Jeena Jeena and Tukur Tukur, also paying a tribute to the Indian soldiers on Vande Mataram from ABDCD 2. His act culminated with a human pyramid in a tri-colour formation.
• In a fun filled, light hearted act Sonakshi Sinha performed a Tollywood medley that brought to life some of the greatest hits which were mixed with her own hit tracks.
• Shraddha Kapoor performed a visually impressive act on a medley of her popular songs like Bezubaan Phir Se, Galliyan, Sun Saathiya, and Nach Meri Jaan.
• The evening also witnessed the upcoming release Sanam Re with a thematic concept of Seasons of Love. This featured Winter, Monsoon and Autumn elements in the act.
