Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon Kickstart Entertainment

Neerja Birla and daughter, Ananya Birla, along with 200 passionate runners from the Aditya Birla Group ran the 13th edition of Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2016 this Sunday to support their new initiative – Mpower.

Aman Anand, Director, Kickstart Entertainment said, "Kickstart Entertainment has been signed by Mpower for brand consultancy and the Mpower marathon is the 1st of the many to come initiatives executed by team Kickstart for this movement in the year."

The atmosphere was sizzling with positive energy and enthusiasm as Kickstart Entertainment perpetrated this event, to make the first step of Mpower, one to remember.

From building motivational stalls to bringing in Capoeira dancers to pep up the crowd, the team left no stones unturned to cheer on the Mpower runners and to raise awareness about the block in people’s minds towards mental health in India. 

MPower is an organisation that is trying to bring about a change and spread awareness about mental illness in India. Through MPower the goal is to create a world class Medical Centre of Excellence with a multi disciplinary team of Doctors and professionals, in this field, all under one roof.

A holistic centre- to create awareness and eliminate the stigma attached to mental health, is part of the project. In other words it is an endeavour to set up a world-class institute that provides accurate diagnostics, treatment to the mentally afflicted, as well as support to their families and care givers.
