Sonu Nigam performed in Indore on Dec 6 at a charity concert at Labh Ganga Garden, Indore, brought to you by NDTV. The event was managed by ground partner Amplify Events, a division of Ascent Brand Communications Pvt. Ltd. Organized to raise funds through ticket sales for the education of tribal children by NDTV in association with KISS (Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences), this initiative also saw Anusha Mani and DJ Anshul perform for the cause. Over 4000 people attended.
On the scope of activities the agency was responsible for, Shailendra Singh Chauhan, Director, Amplify Events said “The concert was a 360 degree marketing event for us. We started the preparations one month in advance to get the publicity for the concert in place across the geography of Indore. Managing a concert of such scale was a humongous task for us. A team of 150 people was deployed at the main venue for 2 days round the clock to ensure flawless and successful execution”.
The team worked 48 hours straight to make the concert a success – this included the tentage, light & sound, branding, security and housekeeping teams. Chauhan added, “Our team worked very hard to make this event a success, and I am happy the way the concert has been conducted flawlessly. We are looking forward to bring more such concerts for the people of Indore, at the same time thanking them for their presence, making the event such a huge success.”
In response to the work done by Amplify Events for this concert, Adnan Khan, Head – Special Projects, NDTV said, “The way Amplify Events executed the concert was highly commendable. I personally thank Chauhan and his team for their efforts to make this event a huge success for NDTV. These guys have raised the standards for entire event fraternity of the city.”
Pre-publicity started with a high buzz multimedia campaign with Dainik Bhaskar and MyFM as print and radio partners, respectively. The multimedia campaign had a mix of print, radio, social media marketing, ATL & BTL support with high decibel amplification. The pre-publicity for the concert began in November with 20 hoardings placed across strategic locations in Indore. In addition, a fleet of 1000 autos was deployed to carry the message across, while posters were placed across the city at major youth centric points like colleges, canteens, and youth joints. Newspaper inserts across the city further augmented these efforts. Amplify Events also placed table tops at major restaurants in the city. As it was a ticket based concert, the placement of ticket sales counters across strategic locations in Indore eased the purchase of tickets.
The in-house team at Amplify Events also took care of the social media campaign for the event, starting one month in advance. The social media marketing campaign sensitized more than 10 Lakh people about the event. A mix of Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Google Adwords was used to enhance the event reach through social media channels. The online activity created a huge response and 3.3k people had shown interest in attending the concert.
Attended by over 4000 people, the event in Indore was a charity concert, where funds from tickets went toward the education of tribal children.
