PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the 9th Jagran Forum on Dec 10, at Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi. Jagran Forum is an annual initiative of a media company, Jagran Prakashan Limited. This year, the conclave was based on the objective of ‘Democracy & Inclusive Development’, and was attended by around 400 guests which mostly included dignitaries from the world of politics and media.
Jagran Solutions, an experiential marketing division of Jagran Prakashan was roped in to plan and manage the entire event.
Speaking on the forum’s planning, Pawan Bansal, COO, Jagran Solutions & Jagran Engage, said, “In brief we have to create an open stage to host various panel discussions on stage. Also, the look and feel of the setup had to be in sync with the forum’s theme of ‘Inclusive Democracy in Contemporary Context’.”

Jagran Conclave also had the presence of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, UP CM Akhilesh Yadav, Uttarakhand CM Dr. Harish Rawat, Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chattisgarh CM Raman Singh. Along with them other influential eminent speakers at the forum were Home Minister Rajnath Singh, and Road & Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari.

An exclusive session on ‘Religion & Culture Concerns: Resolution Through Conversation’ was also represented by famous Urdu poet Munawwar Rana, along with other eminent authors Amish Tripathi and Tarek Fatah. The sessions were moderated by Jairam Ramesh, Swapan Dasgupta, Malini Awasthi and Dibang.
Jagran CMD Mahendra Mohan Gupta, Dainik Jagran CEO & Editor-in-Chief Sanjay Gupta and Jagran and Midday Infomedia Director Shailesh Gupta also marked their presence at the event.
While elaborating on the setup of Jagran Forum, Pawan, said, “Since, the setup had to be made as a television event, we gave a 3D appeal to the stage. Apart from making it very television-friendly, we also incorporated the colour scheme of Jagran brand. Further, we amplified the forum’s logo on the backdrop to highlight the participation of common people in strengthening the democracy.”
In terms of challenges in implementation part, he added, “We were given a very short span of time to set up the whole stage as per the theme under the observation of Special Protection Group, which is a security force of India formed in 1988 by an act of the Parliament of India to provide proximate security to the Prime Minister of India and former PM of India, and members of their immediate families."
