Microsoft's Kiosk by CS Direkt at GHCI 2015 takes a Lead with Women Empowerment in Tech

Grace Hopper Celebrating India (GHCI) is one of the largest hackathons, presenting a vast area of opportunities for women in tech. Produced by the Anita Borg Institute and presented in partnership with ACM India, the women-only conference took place on Dec 2, at White Orchid Convention Centre, Bangalore, and Dec. 3-4, at Vivanta by Taj Yeshwantpur, Bangalore.

The three-day conference had participation from major IT brands, including Microsoft who had set up a kiosk during the last two days of the event. Roping in the experiential marketing agency, CS Direkt, the objective was to strategically plan and execute an innovative setup for Microsoft Kiosk at the event.

Providing an insight into the concept behind the creatives for this kiosk, Navdeep Kaur, Client Services, CS Direkt, said, “There was a lot of enthusiasm and eagerness at the Microsoft Kiosk. Microsoft encouraged a grounded approach towards aspiration in a realistic manner. We had a setup, which was colourful and inspiring with key messages on talent and ideas; abilities and inspirations of women fostering diversity and empowering people. One big milestone achieved was the concept and design. As a result of which overwhelming number of women attended the conference. This event is one of many ways to motivate, recruit and advocate women, showcasing opportunities for them in Tech.”
