In this exclusive Photo Feature, take a look at how Badal Raja Company has truly captured the essence of this wedding celebration as beautifully as it was designed and conceptualized by Rohit Bal Luxury Weddings.

It appears that bringing back traditional weddings and simplicity with a pinch of glam is what RBLW strives at!

For this spectacular experience created by the design and décor agency, the whole concept of old world charm was taken to the next level. The idea was to make attendees feel as if they were attending a wedding 300 years ago, yet in signature Rohit Bal style!

Production and Venue Construction was amongst the responsibilities of R2S Ambience while Catering was done by The Kitchen Art Company.

Tall gilded gold foiled South Indian temple carved pillars marked the walkway for guests along with different heights of gold foiled lotus shaped urlis filled with flower petals and candles.

As you entered to the main space, Ravanahatta players sitting on the balcony of the venue (the client’s lavish residence), overlooking the crowd recited various shlokas!

In the middle of the driveway stood a canopy draped in flowers and a 15 feet dia floral chandelier under which the bride groom exchanged their varmalas.

The entrance to the canopy featured exquisite cut glass shamadaans and innumerable candles. The fabric maestro conceptualized the entire canopy to be draped in rich burgundy velvet against ivory malmal pleating!

Specialized octagonal velvet sofas were especially produced with beautiful central installations of shamadaans and gold plated candle stands.

The first touch point as you entered was a cluster of tress draped in flowers and brass hangings and lots of ornaments. While the floor below was fragrant with rose petals and beautified further with crystals shamadaans.

A ‘Vann’ (forest) feel was given to the entrance, which also proved to be a great photo op for the guests.

As you moved ahead beautiful carved deewan seating upholstered in rich damask invited guests to take a seat. Stunning Bordeaux velvet gold foiled cushions were especially created for the wedding.

The reception stage was not the usual / traditional stage you see at weddings; no raised platforms, no stage backdrop! RBLW created a floating canopy with a heavy floral work mushroom and tassels dropping from it. 3 sides were cordoned off with shamadaans, candle stands and loads of candles.

The dining area was also beautifully decked up. From the ceiling, there were floral chandeliers and while the tables were designed keeping small details in mind such as velvet overlays with gota work and rich chamundi silk runners with Rohit Bal motifs in khadi print, taking inspiration from the old world!

Floral arrangements in ceramic pots with only Indian flowers and brass thalis adorned the tables.

Nested in a small lawn, an arch structure with a floral shower and loads of brass temple hangings made for the South Indian temple inspired Mandap. The carved pillars of the mandap were gold leafed and enormous attention to detailing was truly evident in the area as was in each element of décor throughout the venue.
