The 26th national conference of the Indian Society of Paediatric Neurosurgery (IndSPNCON) was held from Nov 19 to 22 at Crown Plaza, Kochi. The conference took stock of neurosurgical diseases in children and chalked out strategies to improve their lives.

At the inauguration was present a group of children who were cured from conditions that had neurosurgical interventions. Speakers at the conference included Dr Dilip Panikar, Organising Chairman, IndSPNCON; Dr Suhas U, Organizing Secretary, IndSPNCON; and Dr. B. Chidambaram. International faculty members including Dr. Wan Tew Seow, Dr. G. Solanki, Dr Gianpiero Tamurri and Dr. Matthieu Vinchon were also present and gave a detailed account of the advancements in surgical treatment methodologies of hydrocephalus. Dr C.E. Deopujari led the session on the endoscopic solution for shunt malfunction.

On managing the event, Raju Kannapuzha, Managing Director, Executive Events said, "The conference housed a large number of international delegates and it was a challenge for us to meet their expectation at an international level. But we managed to bring out the best and succeed in it.”
