On Nov 23, Momente Weddings organized a 3-day wedding at the 64-room Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, one of the world's largest private residences.
The venue for this wedding, a palace partially managed by Taj Hotels, also houses a museum in addition to serving as the principal residence of the Jodhpur royal family. The spectacular 26-acre venue is infused with unmatched delights at every turn, exquisite dining experiences, the attentive service of palace butlers, spectacular themed evenings exuding royal tradition and more!
The baraat was a royal procession, with a 21 piece band leading the way. The groom rode on an elephant and was accompanied by sentries and 4 Punjabi Dholis.
The varmala was held at the Rotunda of the palace, with the bride and her father entering the venue along with six shankh pandits lining the path blowing the conch to announce their arrival.
The couple then exchanged the garlands in the centre, with the guests showering petals from the balconies above. A blessing from the Gods indeed!
The pheras were held at the Bardari in the lawns of the palace and made for a stunning affair. A Vedic Vivaah group were chanting shlokas as the couple took their vows. After the pheras, the guests moved into the reception area.
The reception was a sit down silver plated dinner service, with Royal Rajasthani food enjoyed through the 3 course meal.
After wedding ceremony, the bar was thrown open, and an international trio entertained the guests with their soulful melodies as they enjoyed cocktails and canapes.
The couple made a grand entry followed by a cake cutting which was acompanied with a spectacular fireworks show.
Entertainment for the guests consisted of live instrumental music, speeches by family and friends and also a stunning visual act show. Following, the after party moved indoors to the Marwar Hall continuing late into the night.
