IPhO 2015 Takes Place in India for the First Time; Hosted at Taj Lands End

The International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) 2015 was organised by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education from July 4 to 12 at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai. Attended by 400 guests, the event took place in the Ballroom, Salcette, Konkan and Malabar.
An annual global event that takes place in different countries, this was the first time IPhO took place in India, making it an extremely proud occasion for Taj Lands End to be the host venue.

With 86 countries participating, the entire Convention floor was suitable for hosting brain storming sessions and exam paper corrections, while the ballroom served as a hub for 230 delegates from various countries discussing this year’s question paper.

The successful execution of the event was apparent when the IPhO 2015 was awarded the best Physics Olympiad till date.
Dr. Anwesh Mazumdar heading this event was extremely pleased with all the arrangements, and expressed his gratitude for the services and support of the entire hotel staff, and their contribution in making the event a great success.

The 46th International Physics Olympiad was supported by the Government of India through its Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Department of Science and Technology (DST), and the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD).
The International Physics Olympiad 2015 took place from July 4 to 12, and was attended by 400 guests.
