Palate Fest Concludes in New Delhi with NDMC & Incredible India! as Key Supporters

The second edition of ‘New Delhi Palate Fest 2015’, presented by Lloyd and supported by NDMC and Incredible India!, was held in the Nehru Park from Nov 27 to 29.

Commenting on the culinary festival, Aditi Kapoor, Co-founder & Director, Palate Fest, said, “Last year, with the onset of winter, Delhi saw the launch of the New Delhi Palate Food Fest. This Palate festival chapter brought diversity with even greater grandeur along with other international cuisines. The 3-day long festival featured the best kitchens in the town, which Delhi had never witnessed before. The amalgamation of participating food professionals resulted in many new experiences for visitors. We wanted to create an event for the city to celebrate the love for food.”

Dr. Mahesh Sharma Minister of State of Culture & Tourism, said, “Delhi being the national capital territory, receives high number of foreign travellers and NRI’s visiting India each year and to engage them, we need to constantly innovate with concepts like these showcasing city’s offering in the area of gastronomy, art and entertainment. Palate Fest, an international level innovative annual food festival established in New Delhi, is a great platform which brings together the local and expat communities, government and tourist fraternity highlighting the diverse colours, culture and compassion of the city.”

The festival featured close to 100 stalls by the leading names in the culinary space like Baking Bad, Home Alone Foods, Mistral, Wendy's, Bombay Bakery (Rustoms), ZIZO, Red Hot Café, Big Fat Sandwich, Tikka Town, Taj, Wok In the Clouds, Neung Rai, Farzi Café, Fat Lulus, Royal China, Jamie's Italian, Yauatcha, Llyod Partner Stall, Dusit, Jehan Numa Palace, The Park, Amici, Fio, Habibi, ITC, The Great Kebab Factory, Ashoka, Kempinski, Market Café, Gelato Vinto, Kylin, Smokeys, Elma’s Kitchen, Hyderabad House, La Bodega, Cup Noodles, Indigo Deli, Lite Bites, Movenpick and The Leela Ambience Gurgaon.

There were also LIVE demo cooking sessions from renowned chefs - Vicky Ratnani, Ranveer Brar, Ramon Salto Alvarez, Leidy Liz Levitan Hernandez, Gautam Mehrishi, Pablo Morales Melendrez, Rakhee Vaswani, and Yenjai Suthiwaja.

Expressing delight on the recently concluded food festival, Ruchi Sibal, Co-founder & Director, Palate Fest, added, “The success of the last edition, fantastic feedback of the participating restaurants, great response by the visitors and last but not the least viral demands on all media platforms encouraged us to come up with the second edition. We can proudly say that the festival was a great day out with food markets, cookery workshop, live music, tasting and dinners. Tons of culinary experiences were explored by the visitors such as live performances, events, promotions and celebrations made it a perfect day out.”

The fest also had a LIVE outdoor stage presenting some of the popular bands and artists such as Daftar Zild, Ketan (Suit Static), Euphoria, Menwhopause, DJ Bhavya, Ved - The Band, Mrigya, Bhuvan Bam, Mrigya, Mix Veg Band, Nasha and more.
