Dilwale Trailer Simultaneously Launched in 5 Countries by Cineyug

A grand launch of the trailer of the movie Dilwale was conducted on Nov 9 at PVR Cinema, Citi Mall, Mumbai. The film is directed by Rohit Shetty, and stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. The launch saw the main cast as well as the supporting cast present. This included Boman Irani, Kabir Bedi, Johnny Lever, Varun Sharma, Nawab Shah, Sajid – Farhad (writer), Pritam (Music Director), Chetna Pande and Pankaj Tripathi. The event was managed by Cineyug International Pvt Ltd for Red Chillies Entertainment. 

Talking about the challenges faced in executing the event, Mohomed Morani, Director, Cineyug said, “The Dilwale movie trailer launch was a never done before launch concept. The challenge was not only to pull off the launch in 5 screens at the same time, but also to do the launch live in 5 different countries of the world, including USA, Canada, Dubai, London and Germany. Gifts, in the form of silver coins as well as personalized Dilwale goodies were given to the media and fans. It was a challenging show in terms of coordination and there was constant pressure to get things done in the limited time.”

The cinema was surrounded by fans waiting to get a glimpse of the stars as they made an entry in customized convertible cars, one after the other at the venue. Five auditoriums were booked, with the media and fans waiting in them. The red carpet included the symbolic heart-shaped larger than life D as a photo op for guests. There was also a larger than life ‘Dilwale’ structure.

The main host for the evening was RJ Salil, with several other hosts supporting him in every auditorium. The guests were welcomed with Dilwale goodies such as hats, bandana’s, t-shirts, whistles and more. As the trailer launch and interaction began in the first audi, entertainment in the form of games relating to the star cast of the movie began simultaneously in the other screens, as they waited for the moment to move into their auditorium. The trailer release was followed by an interaction between the media/fans and the cast.

The international launch witnessed the trailer going live in Toronto, Berlin, Dubai, London and New York, as the cast also interacted with their fans following the launch through special programing.
