New BMW 7 Series Unveiled at Masala! Awards 2015 in Dubai; Sonakshi Sinha, Vir Das Perform LIVE

Masala! Awards 2015 took place on Nov 5 at Madinat Jumeirah Dubai. Honouring the triumphs of the subcontinent in the UAE, the event was a classy affair for the crème crowd of Dubai. The event was attended by more than 1000 people. The show was conceputalised and managed by Cineyug.

Talking about the conceptualisation and execution of the show, Mohomed Morani, Director, Cineyug said, “Masala Awards is a different kind of an award show catering to the crème crowd of Dubai, honouring people from Bollywood and the lifestyle industry. The acts were designed and conceptualized to serve this specific crowd. However, we faced a big challenge where the setup time was concerned, as the venue was accessible to us only on the show day. But since we believe that each day is a challenge, we overcame it with a smile and hard work”

The evening saw Vir Das return as host of the show, with his perfect blend of humour and style. Performances were put up by Pakistani singer Farhan Saeed, Kanika Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha. The evening also saw Sonu Nigam sing live as he received the award for the best live performer. The other Bollywood celebrities who graced the night included Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez, among others. The event also saw Simi Garewal receive the Lifetime Achievement award.

The Masala Awards 2015 also showcased the new BMW 7 series, which made its first public appearance in Dubai at the event.
