Vibgyor Brand Services executed a Raghu Rai photo exhibition in association with Gionee at the recently concluded Delhi Photo Festival. The photo series by the renowned photographer was entirely clicked using a Gionee Elfie E8 phone with a 24 megapixel camera. The idea behind the activity was to bank upon the association with Raghu Rai and provide an ideal platform for Gionee to showcase their product.
The Delhi Photo Festival (DPF) is a biennial photography festival organized by Nazar Foundation. The third edition of DPF held at Indira Gandhi National Centre of Arts in New Delhi, from Oct 30 - Nov 8, 2015, was curated by photographers Prashant Panjiar and Dinesh Khanna. The first two editions were in partnership with and hosted at the India Habitat Centre. The theme for this year’s edition was ASPIRE. The nine day long DPF included various programs and exhibitions by the artists and photographers exhibiting their work, talk shows by leading international and national photo practitioners, seminars & discussions and education outreach programs through various workshops for children.
Raghu Rai also launched a book “India Through The Eye of Raghu Rai” that features photographs clicked using a Gionee Elife E8. He travelled from Kashmir to Kanyakumari capturing the essence of India through the phone’s 24 mp rear camera. Through this association, Gionee could highlight the phone’s photography-friendly features and create awareness about the product at DPF.
Having successfully organised and executed the event, Praveen Kumar, Account Manager at Vibgyor said, “We have been associated with Gionee for very long and have organized and executed many big events for them. Organizing an exhibition for Gionee at DPF exhibiting Raghu Rai photographs was a proud moment for all of us and we hope our association with them goes for long."
The third edition of the biennial photography festival organized by Nazar Foundation was held at IGNCA, Delhi from Oct 30 – Nov 8, 2015.
