As a run up to SBI Pinkathon, a 222kg pink cake gifted to slum dwellers in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad is gearing up for its 2nd edition of the SBI Pinkathon, which will take place on Oct 25 at River Open Ground behind National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. Over 8000 women from the city are expected to participate. The event is powered by Women Horlicks and promoted by Maximus Events.
As a precursor to the event, Milind Soman, Director, Maximus; Founder of Pinkathon; and the head of TGB gifted a 222 kg ‘Pinkathon’ cake to the slum dwellers of Ramjibhai Ni Chali. The cake was especially made for the event by the TGB staff. The event ended on a high note with a run and a speech by Soman on the need for fitness and health for women of all stratas.
The objective of Pinkathon is to increase awareness about women’s health. Corporate sponsors of the event include State Bank of India, Women’s Horlicks, OYO Rooms, Bajaj Electricals, Red FM and NGOs like Sense India.
The event encourages women to develop healthy habits and improve overall health.
