MEHK presents MaxiMICE 2015 Successfully Concludes; Winners of EXV Awards 2015 Announced

MaxiMICE Conclave & Awards 2015 successfully concluded at the Trident BKC, Mumbai on Oct 15 with a conclave on Excellence in Channel Marketing and the inaugural edition of Experiential Venue Awards.

MaxiMICE is EVENTFAQS’ flagship platform for discussions and shared knowledge in achieving excellence in ‘Channel-Partner and Stakeholder Marketing’. MaxiMICE Conclave and Awards 2015 with presenting partner MEHK (Meetings and Exhibitions Hong Kong) was held in association with EEMA (Event and Entertainment Management Association of India), television partners ET NOW and hospitality partners The Trident, Bandra Kurla.

The event was managed by Team Rustic who have been managing the event for the past five years. 

The conclave was hosted by Kubra Sait who was joined by sibling, funny man and radio jock Danish Sait to host the awards. The duo ensured the energy was sky-high through the day long engagement.

Other partners to the event included Stage Gear for Lighting Solution, Vinayak Video Vision for AV Support, Ram Bherwani for Photography, RSG Lights for LED Furniture and Rain O Shine for the much praised Trophies. Bright is the Outdoor Media partner to the event. 

The 7th edition of the MaxiMICE Conclave opened with a Key Note address by Kewal Handa - Strategic Advisor and former MD of Pfizer India. Speaking about ‘The Value of Channel Partners to the success of an organisation’, it was a perfect note to start off the conclave’s effort in De-Coding Channel Marketing and Development.

The Key Note was followed by the first panel discussion on the ‘Challenges in Managing Stakeholders of an Organization’ and Opportunities to revolutionise stakeholder-engagement programmes.’ On the panel, moderated by Navneeth Mohan - CEO, laqshya LIVE Experiences, were Sanjay Tripathy (Senior Executive VP-Marketing, Product, Digital and E-Commerce, and member of the Executive management Committee, HDFC Life), Rajesh Nair (Business HR for Corporate, HR Shared Services and Administration functions, Tata Motors), Vishal V Dhale (VP and Head – Sales, Rewards & Recognition, Birla Sun Life Insurance), and Satyabrata Das (VP – OEM Business Operations, Gulf Oil India).

Following a quick video from presenting partners MEHK, the second panel discussion moderated by Sushil Shamlal Wadhwa (Founder & CMD of Platinum  World Group), addressed the topic ‘The Experiential Opportunities in Engaging High-Profile Stakeholders’. Sharing their opinions and knowledge on this discussion were Tamanna Khanna (VP – Marketing, SUD Life Insurance), Koustubh Kanade (Director- Marketing, Consumer Healthcare' cluster of businesses for Sanofi -South Asia), Milan Naik (Country Head – Marketing and Institutional Sales, Liberty Videocon General Insurance Company Limited), and Animesh Kumar (Head – HR, Brand & Foundation, IDFC Bank and CEO – IDFC).

With this the MaxiMICE Conclave 2015 concluded and the audience took a short cocktail break before the MaxiMICE Experiential Venues Awards Awards could be presented.

At the very first edition of MaxiMICE Experiencial Venues Awards presented by MEHK, KPMG were the independent process validators, while the jury comprised of over 20 top senior professionals from leading organisations in the MICE industry. This included members of EEMA – NEC; MICE agencies; Incentive Houses; Professional Congress Organisations and Destination Management Companies.

The first-of-its-kind initiative by EVENTFAQS Media has been organized to recognize and celebrate those venues that support the ever-growing appetite of the Indian MICE industry. The evening's proceedings were kick-started by an opening address from Sabbas Joseph - President EEMA and Director Wizcraft International. Chandrashekhar Manta - Director, KPMG followed with the highlights of the awards process. He also gave away the first set of awards along with Sabbas Joseph and Sunil Puri - India Representative, MEHK.

Awards were also presented by EEMA-NEC members Sushma Gaikwad (Director, ICE Global) and Mr. Rahul Gomes, (Director, Oak Management Consultancy) as well as Shaju Ignatius (Business Head and Chief Collaborator – Optimal X, The Times Group), Vinod Janardhan (Director, Team Rustic), Deepak Choudhry (Director, Event Capital), Thanush Joseph (Director, 70 EMG) and Daryl Sheldon (Director, 7ty7).

The evening concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Vishal Nagdev - Director and Business Head, EVENTFAQS Media.
