Vodafone organized its half yearly awards to felicitate the year's achievers among retail employees in Mumbai. The Vodafone Retail Ace Awards 2015, planned and executed by All In Events, took place on Sep. 10 at Megarugas, Mumbai. Hosted by Dhwani Mittal, the evening was attended by over 500 employees.
The project, which took place over the course of two months, was divided into two sections - the Zonathon leading up to the event and the main awards night - Retail Ace Awards.
On the conceptualisation of the event, Jolly Desai, CMO, All In Events said, "Since the awards and awardees are the centre of attraction on this night, we created the theme accordingly. It’s always an amazing experience to work with Vodafone.”
The agency won the mandate to manage the event in a multi-agency pitch. The brief was simple - to execute a gala evening and Award ceremony for 500 retail employees. Elaborating on this, Desai said, “We won the mandate on the basis of our liaising with the team and our knack for delivering a flawless event with a keen eye for detail.”
The awards night witnessed performances by Vodafone employees, while awards were handed out in various categories. Emcee Dhwani Mittal held all the acts together, with Vodafone’s leadership team participating in the opening and closing acts of their respective teams. All teams danced to popular Bollywood numbers of the year. The awards were given away by the top management of Vodafone, while the special ‘Sartaaj’ Category was handed out by television actress Rashmi Desai. The evening concluded with the announcement of winners of the dance competition held earlier that evening; following this, a DJ took over while employees partied.
Discussing the challenges involved in executing the event, Desai remarked, “The main challenge was to execute the entire event on short notice, while giving attention to all the little details and requirements. Apart from that, we also had to manage and coordinate all employee performances and the Awards with last moment changes. Make-up and costumes for all performers were also arranged in a very short span of time.”
Within a very short time-frame, the agency pulled off an event for 500 retail employees; hosted by Dhwani Mittal, the event included employee performances and an Award ceremony.
