On Sept. 25, the American brand, GAP opened its doors for Bengaluru. Sprawled across 8,000 sq. ft., the swanky store is in sync with the brand’s ethos.

Toast Events partnered with GAP to create an exciting entry in Bengaluru, out beating the launch of their store in Delhi. Crafting an interesting series of events, the brand built excitement amongst the Bangalore audiences engaging them and building excitement leading to the launch date.

Commenting on the launch, J Suresh, MD & CEO of Arvind Lifestyle Brands Ltd said, “Bengaluru has an exciting cosmopolitan and fast-paced energy throughout the city and consumers are expecting for their clothes to take them from day to night. We are thrilled to bring Gap to such a dynamic city!”

Building the excitement for the launch, multiple activities were created reaching out to a vast audience, inviting them to the store. Interesting branding experiences at the mall, accompanied with activations across Bangalores Tech Parks and the mall draped in hues of blue welcomed the guests to explore the store.

This is the second India store of the brand and was inaugurated by Bollywood actress Shruti Haasan. Following the opening, she said, “To launch a brand that I’ve been wearing so often is indeed a pleasure! Seasons may change, but our wardrobes will always feature certain staples like tees, denims, hoodies and jackets which GAP does the best.”

Commenting on the event, Priyanka Chandrasheker, Client Servicing Lead, Toast Events said, “Bengaluru has been our second launch and we had to make this different than Delhi and definitely bigger. Keeping perspective of the different market dynamics, we created activites and experiences that would make an impact about GAP arriving to Bangalore, building to the date of the launch.

On the challenges, Karan Kapoor, Operations Lead, Toast Events added, “We love the enthisuam the city has to offer and therefore the challenge was to present to them experiences never seen before. Challenged by the weather, we had to create multiple plan options, ensuring the impact of the campaign and living upto the brand and the loyalists expectations."

Shruti Haasan inaugurated the second store of GAP in India as more than 4000 GAP loyalists waited for doors to open and shop their hearts out.
