The celebrations began with a ‘Mayra’ ceremony adorned in yellow and orange marigolds. The guests were all dressed in yellow to support the theme of the day! Not to mention the bride that looked gorgeous in bright yellow herself!
A sit down lunch was conceptualized by well known Chef Tanveer Kwatra at Le Meridien, Gurgaon.
A golden ‘thali’ set up was done and the platter to plate service was thoroughly enjoyed by the attendees.
Following the Haldi ceremony took place. Speciality folk singers were flown in from Rajasthan for this event.
The bride did not want a subtle look and feel, therefore Designer Events Inc. transformed the poolside at Le Meridien into a bright and sunny yellow and white cascade.
The decor was an eclectic mix of colour rather than a lot of elements. The main area for Haldi ceremony was kept heavy while other areas at the venue sported minimalistic decor.
Hints of pinks and Leheriya fabric were used to break the monotony of colours while chrysanthemums bloomed beautifully at each table adding the right amount of freshness to the ambience.
