Jeff Thomson to coach at the MCA - IDBI Federal Life Insurance Bowling Foundation

The MCA - IDBI Fedral Life Insurance Bowling Foundation, launched in July 2015, has roped in Australian cricket legend Jeff Thomson to mentor and coach a selected lot from 30 fast bowlers. Thommo, as he is fondly called, will spend a month in Mumbai during September - October and return again in May 2016 for another session with the players.

The MCA – IDBI Federal Life Insurance Bowling Foundation has been established to hone meritorious talent and develop them into first-rate bowlers to boost the domestic and international cricketing landscape in India. The bowlers in the 19 and above age group were chosen by MCA selectors for the IDBI bowling foundation. They will undergo a month-long training session with Jeff, who already has complete knowledge about their abilities through video analysis and extensive technology. Thomson will also be watching their matches.

Speaking about his new role, Jeff said;  “I would like to thank MCA, IDBI Federal Life Insurance and Excellence In Cricket for inviting me to coach the young talent at the MCA – IDBI Federal Life Insurance Bowling Foundation. I am very excited to be here to interact with the future of Mumbai cricket as I am always willing to pass on the knowledge I have obtained over the years. I hope to develop bowling talent in the domestic and international cricketing circuits for India. Looking forward to the exciting times ahead.”
