EEMAX Global Conclave and Awards 2015 Taj Lands End
The latest agenda for EEMAX Global Conclave & Awards 2015 is out and will see sessions and discussions on topics of interest to the events and experiential industry. The event, which will take place at Taj Lands End, Mumbai on Sept.19 and 20, will also recognise exemplary work at the Awards.
Day One will begin at 5 in the evening with a couple of sessions that will go on till 7. The inaugural session titled ‘Getting the World to Believe - ALS Ice Bucket Challenge’ will be delivered by Nancy Frates, and will be a presentation of the fundraiser that raised more than $150 million for ALS. The phenomenon known as the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge saw the Foundation leverage social media amplification to increase incremental funds towards the cause.
Next, Patrick Roubroeks, Creative Director, Partner & Founder, Xsaga, will do a session titled ‘Turn On the Lights – Showcase @ de Bijenkorf’, describing how for the last 7 years, the premium department store De Bijenkorf, has been celebrating the start of the festive season in Holland by lighting up hundreds and thousands of dynamically programmed sustainable lights on historical buildings. Over the years they have succeeded in developing spectacular international theatrical shows around ‘Turn on the Lights’, which have made it an annual event that is marked by a broad range of international and national media in their holiday calendars.
The evening will witness the Shillong Chamber Choir, and then Shaan perform. This will be followed by cocktails and dinner, from 8 pm onward.
The next day will begin at 10 in the morning with the Shillong Chamber Choir performing ‘Vande Mataram’, which will be followed by the first session of the day, titled ‘Building Events Tourism’. This will feature Santiago Corrada, President and CEO, Tampa Bay present on ‘The International Story’, while Valsa Nair Singh, Secretary - Tourism and Culture, Govt of Maharashtra, will present on ‘The Maharashtra Magnet’.
Session 2 will begin at 10.45 and will feature a case study presentation by Rogier van der Heide on the Amsterdam Lights Festival. The Amsterdam Light Festival is the result of a joint effort between cultural institutions, the municipality, knowledge institutions and businesses in Amsterdam. A half-hour coffee break will follow from 11.30 am.
The next 2 sessions will again be case study presentations. In the first, Daniel Rodriguez, Copywriter & Creative Director, DDB Spain will present on ‘Holograms for Freedom’. The session will go over the protest that followed the gag law approved by the Spanish government in March 2015. No Somos Delito (We Are Not Crime) partnered with DDB Spain to bring about “The world’s first ever virtual political demonstration”. Next, Alistair Schoonmaker, Client Partner, AKQA will present on “Nike Rise House of Mamba”. In this initiative, Nike teamed up with the global design firm AKQA, to create the first full-sized LED reactive basketball training facility called ‘House of Mamba’ in Shanghai.
After lunch, which will take place from 1 to 2 in the afternoon, a short presentation by Insider.in on e-ticketing and e-vent technologies, will be followed by a panel discussion. This will feature Indian IP owners and event industry leaders talking on “Intellectual Properties: Building the Future”. The event will be moderated by Suresh Venkat, Media Personality while panellists include Viraf Sarkari, Wizcraft International; Vivek Singh, Procam International; Vijay Nair, Only Much Louder; Martin Da Costa, 70 EMG; and Rajesh Kejriwal, Kyoorius Group.
A half-hour session will follow at 3 pm titled ‘Licensing Made Easy: Welcome to Delhi’ by Kapil Mishra, Minister of Tourism, Art and Culture, Delhi Government; and Sanjay Kumar,IAS, Commissioner- Excise, Delhi Government.
The last session, which is yet to be confirmed, will see a case study presentation on the Electric Daisy Carnival, the world’s biggest and most ticketed music festival contributing $300million to the Las Vegas economy.
An attendees group photograph will be taken from 3.30 to 3.45 pm, while the Awards reception and cocktails will begin at 5 in the evening, and will be followed by the EEMAX Global Awards 2015 from 6 p.m. onward. The Awards will be hosted by Cyrus Sahukar and Yudi, while the entertainment for the show includes Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Lauren Gottlieb, Stars of India’s Got Talent, and Interactive with AIB. From 10 pm onwards, Sanjay Batraa and Band will take over, while attendees celebrate over cocktails and dinner.
